-
I formally declined after no fee reduction as
there was no way of finding that type of money for us
-
I didnt hear that on the meeting I thought all were going on there , Hammond have said most parents are self funding this year wish that was an option , best of luck
-
🤣fingers crossed
-
Has anyone been lucky enough to find a way of self funding ?
-

We never got one but I did speak to one of the senior staff and said we probably need to put the idea of the Hammond to bed with no funding so they have probably taken that as a no!!
Can I ask which senior member of staff did you speak to and was is by email ? or phone ?

We had a welcome later same day as got told there was no remission for us , Ive formally declined the place now 😪

I emailed them earlier and I’ve just had a reply saying no fee remission for us. I’ve heard that there were literally only a handful offered out so really there wasn’t much of a chance.
Sorry to hear that what year was it for ? Has anyone else still not heard or am I the only one ?

I spoke to the registrar yesterday confirming she had received our paperwork. I think the issue is that anything that was submitted prior to lockdown so 23rd March & in this case when accepting offer & being put forward for MDS. So the forms you have been re sent, the originals are at the school & due to the newish GDPR regs being so tight she can not take them home to work from. That is why you may have been sent another copy. Hope this helps. I was told they are having big virtual meeting tomorrow re boarding. We had to say today if we want boarding (my DD has MDS so not waiting) I presume this went to all MDS offers, maybe after they know how they can run boarding houses with social distancing they can speak to those on WL....
thank you x

Year 7 too as far as I know x

My dd is at The Hammond and I cannot speak highly enough of the school
dd does around 20 hours a week dancing in various ability groups . My dd struggles academically and has been given 1-1 for at least 1-2 hours per week but never misses a dance lesson for it.The dancing although ballet is the core is very versatile which is what sold the school for us and they really encourage you to sing also which is what's needed in the dance world these days, I was lucky as my dd has always been versatile although she loves ballet she also loves all styles of dance and singing too which I found was the only school to offer it all at 11. The staff really do care about the individual child and are very approachable unlike some of the other schools ,the pupils who attend are also so supportive of each other which is lovely to see .
