Did they mention that second and third year students have to go to Centre Point in Denton to make room for ICTheatre dancers?

My daughter is in her third year and has a 30/40 minute bus journey 3 days per week to Denton.

My daughter and two friends (3rd year) are renting privately. Works out cheaper than any of the Unite properties.

So is NBS now part of fully accredited university with degree courses & capped fees & qualify for applying for full student finance? Or is BIMM what is considered a ‘private university’ like I believe places like LSC are…. Am finding it all very confusing seeing what is out there for dance/performance degrees

Just a heads up on NBS, which I'm sure they don't tell you. Second and third year students now have to go to Centre Point in Denton to make room for ICTheatre dancers.  My daughter is going into her third year and has been told they will be at Denton 3 days per week instead of the Dancehouse.

If anyone still needs accommodation for September, my daughter and her friend have just given up their rooms at Unite Mill Point. 10 mins walk to NBS. Both rooms are ensuite 44 week contracts.

We received confirmation first week of May.

There are two more ‘Halls’ that have just been acquired by Unite even closer to NBS. If that was at all possible.   
 

Bridgewater Heights. Formerly Liberty Heights. And the brand new build ‘Artisan Heights’. 
There are some NBS pupils already booked in. They are apparently marginally more expensive than Medlock but they are newer so it’s swings and roundabouts 

My DD is first year staying at New Medlock. From next Sept her group of 5 are moving to Unite Mill Point for approximately the same cost.  Its more modern, near Piccadilly station and a 10 min walk to NBS.

Yes, I was referring to dance schools. Dd has a place at NBS. I've since found the accommodation is run by Unite, who seem fairly flexible on dates, although I haven't read the small print yet.

Hi, appreciate no one really knows, but what do we think the chances are of schools opening normally in September?

I'm also concerned about paying for accommodation up front.

My daughter auditioned today. She was in the first row/group of candidates and was surprised the order wasn't rotated as those in the back rows were able to watch each exercise run through 4 or 5 times before their go, which is a huge advantage. Is this common in auditions?

Hi, quick question on DaDa's.

I understand how they are allocated etc but if a school has say 40 places, how many will be offered a DaDa? Appreciate there are no exact answers but is it roughly 10%, 25%, 50%?
