Just sensational dancing last night, with beautiful performances all round but especially from Nagdhi and Bracewell with such wonderful and clearly expressed characterisation.
I was in tears when the curtain came down (which I think amused my neighbours, but oh well!).
I do think it’s a shame they only have two performances. I’d love to see them again this time around.

Well, I’m even more excited about seeing this pairing on Feb 3rd now! And what a brilliant and engaging coach Morera is. The RB is lucky to have her.

Fumi Kaneko seems to be able to ‘do anything’! She was outstanding in Becomings. But, then, Yasmine Naghdi also displayed her incredible versatility as the young Clarissa.
In a week where amazing tributes are being paid to the great Lynn Seymour, I wonder whether we, today’s audience, are appreciating what we have today enough. (I could, of course, add in other names but, in addition to Ferri, it was the star talent of Fumi and Yasmine which grabbed me this afternoon.)
Yes, absolutely agree with this review. Ferri I thought sublime and I found Naghdi’s performance so moving - I’d actually like to see her paired with Bracewell in the future. As for Fumi - she’s extraordinary! I couldn’t take my eyes off her. Just gorgeous dancing from the entire company.

I thought it a marvellous evening of dance. I wasn’t familiar with the opening piece but found it very moving. Brilliant to see Watson on stage again - I do love Woolf Works and his performance is such a big part of why. I thought Naghdi looked on fine form, positively sizzling in fact, and enjoyed Magri/Ball too. But overall it was just such a joy to see the company back on stage. Already looking forward to watching it again.

I wonder if it could be the Lydia Kyasht company Ballet de la Jeunesse Anglaise. They were active in the World War II years performing in theatres in the U.K, and their advertising posters and programmes refer to the production as Russian Ballet.
Thank you! That’s very helpful.
