Hi Bunny...looking at the form I'm not sure you could do an online consultation...as the examinations are all physical...unless you meant as an initial consultation? X

Sorry I should have been clearer, I have to fill out an initial request for the appointment and they’ll get back to me to do it but there’ll be a charge x

  2. Yes, I’ve been told I have to book an online consultation and then there may be a charge as it’s out with what the NHS would cover. I’m assuming it’ll be cheaper doing that than booking a complete private GP appointment but not sure! x

So if a schools waiting list is cleared as those on the wait list accept offers from other schools, what happens then? Does the waiting list get reallocated??

I think even if they accept offers from other schools they remain on the waitlist, unless they specifically ask to decline their place on the waitlist, I believe? I could be wrong x

This may seem like a strange question but here it goes:

Once offers come from other schools and then we all start accepting, do RB ever update their waiting lists if they clear? Same question for other schools.

I know of a young man who was offered a place at Royal from the Y7 wait list last year :) (This year, my DS is crossing his fingers and praying the same happens for him! 😂)!x

  5. I think to suggest that an hour of ballet a week with a good teacher is enough for children with potential is wonderful in theory, but in reality parents cannot think this, or they surely wouldn’t be accessing private one to one coaching and additional classes and schemes? What would be the point if they thought there was no benefit? I can absolutely see the benefit, and only regret that financial circumstances and my own lack of research and foresight means that I didn’t/couldn’t consider these options for my DS. Still, you live and learn! Every child who has a place at WL is exceptionally talented and I’m sure their place is very well deserved. My DS will sit patiently on the waitlist and hope for the best with fingers tightly crossed! x

  6. My DS (from the north!) has made the WL waitlist. He doesn’t have an Instagram. We did absolutely no additional training, no private lessons, no one to one coaching. Just his normal ballet class and JA class via Zoom. Looking at the results and seeing all these posts on Instagram, as well as his reaction to the news, I can’t help but feel I have let him down by not realising this was the apparent ‘norm’ 😓

    Congratulations to all!

Now for the awkward part, we were informed that there would be alternative final audition arrangements made for those who were unable to attend in person and that this would take place after April 4.  But since then there has been no further contact and now clearly places have already been offered. Very confusing indeed.

Is anyone else in this situation?

Have you tried emailing the auditions team to ask about arrangements? I’m sure there will be some x
