Having been through all associates before and full time school prelims and finals I don't think you can at all make heads nor tails of it all. The only thing over thinking it does sleepless nights and stress. 

Every school is different and every year is different. 

My advice, take it all in your stride and don't get disheartened if it's a 'no'. It doesn't mean no forever, just a no this time round.

I dont know if any intrest but my eldest dd applied for JAs in 16/17/18(successful in 18) and everytime the audition results came out on 13th June...  Could be a coincidence??? 

My younger dd has applied this year y4 Birmingham all videos have been see a couple times. 

My daughter was on wait list, we didn't know she was. She is now in year 8. X

I think that is the case, they have anallocated number for each year group that they fill with MDS.

I guess my concern is that these places will go to Yr7 students whereas we’re hoping for a Yr 9 place.  Did you ever ask or were you ever told where your daughter was on the waiting list before being offered the place?

No... Never told where she was on list and i dont think they will share that info either. Honestly, i was suprised she was so high up as she didnt do the associate classes at tring and others did.

Tring has a set number of MDS places. Each year, the number of places freed up to be offered to new intake is based on the number of students who had one and leave. So each year will be different.

And of course it depend on mds given to the performing arts students too.

Hold out hope all..... My daugther was on wait list for MDS last year and she now attends Tring on MDS. We had a ohone call offerering her the MDS place and were given less than 24 hours to accept or decline, so just be prepared if you do get a call. 

I also know of a MDS at Tring being handed back..... Keep the hope there will be losts of movement. X

As a mom with a year 7 on MDS at Tring....id say ballet! Trings focus is on clasical ballet. From what Im aware most girls in school did ballet solos as did the other girl that got awarded MDS. Tring do not really start contemporary until about year 9..... ballet is their base to all dance. For some reason Tring seems to get over looked as a predominantly ballet school, it is an utrerly amazing place to train and my daughter is loving life and thriving at Tring.

Ohhh ladies.... just reading through this topic..... i really dont envy u all right now!!!! We went through it all last year, its a gruelling rollercoaster of emotions for months!!!

My dd is a Elmhurst young damcer and was at finals.... we are guessing that they wil get the last class out of the way then they have a months break..... last class is this saturday.
