Some years ago I had a pupil who was offered a DaDa from Northern Ballet School, but was also offered places at other degree courses. However she hadn't had all the results back until later in May. So although she accepted one of these and released the DaDa it wasn't until later in the term, so there is still hope. If anyone is also on the waiting list for somewhere else higher up on their personal preference list things may still move.

    Hi

Got a letter today and she has been offered a dada with Northern. Just wish all offers came at the same time as she still has funding audition for Bodyworks late May. Very tense time.

    Hi Shellz,

I heard about my DaDa around a month ago, however I also know of another dancer who received their's only last week so you may still hear from them! Xx

Thank you, doesn’t sound like good news for mine but congratulations to yours xx

Thank you for that. Where did she audition yesterday ? I hope it was good news. A very tense time for all. Good luck xx

    Hi

the wait from Bodyworks seems endless. Can I ask how long you had to wait for a response. This is a killer as it’s the one my daughter prefers x

No to finals for WL year 8, but DD has Elmhurst finals and Tring funding audition to look forward to, so not the slightest bit upset!!

Well done to the yes’s, sorry if it’s a no. 😀

    Hi

Congratulations - is this for lower school or upper ? I note one emailed you who was this ?

Tring are very proud of the fact that they offer strong academics for those who wish to take A levels, and there are a number of pupils who change tack during 6th form and apply to top universities. Of course this also means that dancers who don't want to do the third year of the Dance course can also apply to take  Dance degree courses elsewhere.

Please can you explain what you mean that they don’t have to do the last year. Does that mean they don’t get the level 6 diploma? Thank you

I believe there was 18 in the audition ranging from 15 to 20 years old.Got a very good feel for the place. Standard varied as you would expect from an audition, however the students were of a high standard and very hardworking. My dd watched a class whilst she was waiting for her singing solo and said that there wasn't one person in the class not giving 100% and they were being worked hard. 3 weeks is a guideline. Dd had an audition yesterday which quoted 2 weeks and she found out today.x

Thank you for that. Where did she audition yesterday ? I hope it was good news. A very tense time for all. Good luck xx

I thought I would just let you'll know that I got a recall from London Studio Centre and I couldn't be happier! I opened the email on the train home from dance on Saturday and cried as I had so much doubt that I would get a recall. I have ballet tonight and can't wait to tell my teacher. I still have five more auditions left (1 uni & 4 vocational) before it's recall season - fingers crossed that the others go well too!

Congrats to those who have already got offers and/or recalls, you are all awesome people and good luck with everything! <3

Well done that’s great news ! Has anyone auditioned for Bodyworks ?

My DD now at KS and it’s the best decision we made. She is so happy there, teaching and care is outstanding.  Feels like an extended family which was important to us as DD a very young 16 (August baby!)

    Hi

do you know if the nursery offered with Kate Simmons is for each of the 3 years or do you have to reaudition ? Thanks

Hey, is your daughter doing the classical route or general dance. My daughter is worried whether it’s too classical as she is more of an all rounder xx

  10. Hi, my daughter enjoyed it. She is 15 and felt she held her own. She also auditioned st Kate Simmons and gif idfered at both. She went back to Kate Simmons did a nursery audition and had been offered funding which we were surprised at. She has another in Feb so still deciding
