Does anyone have any suggestions for hotel or B&B near Trinity Laban that is easy to get to by car, and has parking that's included or not ridiculously priced? Dd has got through to AED Young Dancer 100 workshop and need to book something.

I would sew right through to the outside through all layers tbh. Much easier. That's what my DD does on her shoes......I did slightly cry inside when she did it to her £100+ Gaynors 😭😭😭
Btw I have never sewn her shoes and I never will 😅

Some have been offered both RPC and intensive and so there will be movement in the waiting list depending on how they choose. Will know by 14.5
We have accepted our place on the intensive and the waiting list for company......though looking at the intensive it looks quite good as only 20 in the group!

The emails have arrived this morning. My dd has been given a place on the intensive, and then a waiting list place for the company? Mmmmm not sure what to do? Never done NYB before so no idea about this intensive?

14-15 years

We received a WL offer today, but are still waiting for NYB results to come out. And tbh she found (the much cheaper!!) Rambert intensive better than previous RBS intensives.......so will decide once NYB comes out.....hopefully soon!!!

Has anyone done 2 weeks of YBS in the past? Just wondering if it’s worth doing 2 weeks or are the weeks very similar (ie same teachers and classes and rep etc)? And do the DCs need to be picked up in the weekend between the two weeks? If not, are there houseparents around and are there activities for them to do between the weeks?
My dd did 2 weeks last year. Different teachers and work each week. I think there is the ability to stay over between the 2 weeks but we only live half hour away so we picked her up so she could wash clothes and have a good rest between the weeks.

My dd is currently at Rambert Easter intensive and is loving it. Does ballet and pointe and conditioning in the morning. Then contemporary and creative in the afternoon

They said results would be in 'April' but I was also hoping this would mean earlier especially since last audition was at least a few weeks ago now. Hoping they might surprise us tomorrow but would be great if anyone has any more concrete info?

When do results normally come out? Performances are all in the summer holiday and will require hotels which I'm getting slightly nervous about holding off booking!

I still haven't heard anything. I'm hoping that we get some news today, was wondering if anyone else is till waiting for news?
One year I didn't hear back......it was because I had typed my email in wrong! They are really quick at replying if you drop them an email.

Useful information for anyone who uses that road. I sometimes drive to Knaresborough that way. I believe they are trying to do something to prevent the landslips that have occurred over the last few years.
It's an utter nightmare for us living in that area! Road has been closed about 4 weeks whilst they investigate.....and not not starting work on it for another 2 weeks! Give yourself an extra hour easily!

Just for info.....those of you who drive and would be using the A59 to Harrogate through the Blubberhouses....that road is closed from mid April for 15 weeks, so very long and busy diversion in place!

A yes for us here too.....can finally start making plans for summer!

I've said about making sure she is at the front etc......but she is very shy naturally, and then said that the other girls would be saying mean things behind her back if she did that, as she isn't one of the popular girls. I did question this, but she assures me nothing has been said by anyone to her 😭😭😭
