  1. I'm not sure this is allowed so Admin please move or delete if not

My ds is in the 3rd year 6th form at Tring Park and he painted a picture of mansion & drive, originally to help raise money for the Grad Show which was last Friday. He also had some cards printed of the picture which proved to be very popular. There are a few cards left so I wondered whether any Tring parents might be interested - although it may be a bit late for this Christmas, they are blank inside so could be used for any reason.

If anyone is interested please pm me and I'll try to show a photo and let you know the price.

Dropped DS at Tring today - was great to finally see him so happy. He was very apprehensive on the journey up but that soon disappeared. I held it together mostly - only blip was when I thought I wasn't going to have a photo of him in his suit !!! He put it back on, bless him :)

It was good to meet some balletco Mums too

Found a piece of paper my DS did about 3 years ago - how to get to Tring ! Listed selling house and winning lottery !!! Bless !!! He's going in Sept on a Dada - still loads to find but he's so excited - more so after the show !!!

Gotta be in it to win it. :)

Yes, Central offered a place to DS so great news ! Letter is also on way snail mail but they emailed it as they want acceptance by email 3 April & deposit by 10th.

DS now has to choose between Central & Rambert & we're still trying to work out money to see if Tring dada place is even a possible alternative. Have huge outgoings & minimal household income so not very hopeful.

  6. Interesting. Thanks Ecarte.

They ask to accept the place and pay £650 so that probably means they're calling it an acceptance fee not a place holding fee. Maybe I'll phone them tomorrow - we can't be the only ones in this position.

  7. Hi,

My DS has been offered a DADA from Tring. It's all he's wanted for 3 years (non vocational at moment) but we are trying to work out how much it will actually cost us to make sure we can find the balance from somewhere. DH is self employed so don't have any income figures yet for 2012/13 - business has been so variable in this climate - very frustating as won't know proper offer amount from Tring for ages and still may not be enough for us to afford it but probably too late by then to cancel without paying a term's fees in lieu. Catch 22.

Also waiting on Central results which we probably won't know before Tring acceptance date - 3 April. Student Loan's are done on last year's figures which is more sensible so loan/grant figures should be out quicker.

Feel very fortunate indeed to have actually been offered a dada this year but the headaches don't end there unfortunately.

There were several WL boys at the dada audition & I expect they'll get offers from several places.

Its her life - maybe phone Tring to see if DD is no 2 or 22 on reserve list. I'm sure they'd understand.
