  1. Follow the sign to the station and there's quite a big car park next to Waitrose - pay & display. Vaguely remember one behind Tesco Express too.
  2. I'm not sure this is allowed so Admin please move or delete if not My ds is in the 3rd year 6th form at Tring Park and he painted a picture of mansion & drive, originally to help raise money for the Grad Show which was last Friday. He also had some cards printed of the picture which proved to be very popular. There are a few cards left so I wondered whether any Tring parents might be interested - although it may be a bit late for this Christmas, they are blank inside so could be used for any reason. If anyone is interested please pm me and I'll try to show a photo and let you know the price.
  3. Lemongirl & Interested Parent mentioned Berkhamstead - the antique shop is called Home and Colonial and there's a lovely coffee shop on the top floor. There's also a fab arts & crafts shop down a side road near the station opposite Waitrose car park and there are castle ruins just behind the station too.
  4. http://www.russianballet.co.uk Trained at Vaganova Academy in St Petersburg. My ds had 1-to-1 there before his vocational auditions. Various classes at PDSW too as lollylamb1 mentioned and studios are right next to the beach & gardens.
  5. Hi, Also inerested in Host Families for 3rd year Dancer from Sept 2015. Just left a message at school but any info / suggestions very gratefully received thanks x
  6. Its Her Life, is your DD going too ? My DS is booked in and really looking forward to it - and it will be so great to be able to watch ! Any other boys going ?
  7. Which firm do you use, if you don't mind me asking ? Not had to use one yet but probably will do after Half Term.
  8. I'm going Friday - was just wondering whether we'd meet any forum members there
  9. Swanprincess - yes it is. Just speak to them or specify one of the joint dates on your application. It's all very well organised.
  10. My DS is in Lower 6th too - dance course - and especially loves talking to the boys on the school tours. He is very happy there dancing and taking 2 A levels. The pastoral support is excellent which is a relief for us parents

  12. That's encouraging audsjcanuck Dropped DS at Tring today - was great to finally see him so happy. He was very apprehensive on the journey up but that soon disappeared. I held it together mostly - only blip was when I thought I wasn't going to have a photo of him in his suit !!! He put it back on, bless him It was good to meet some balletco Mums too
  13. London Coliseum - he's 16 and in Petrushka with ENB on Sat. Should be a great course - it's a good mix of classes. Are you watching Tuesday ?

  15. Snap ! Where are you AliKat ? We're Dorset. Katymac - go for it - you just never know Found a piece of paper my DS did about 3 years ago - how to get to Tring ! Listed selling house and winning lottery !!! Bless !!! He's going in Sept on a Dada - still loads to find but he's so excited - more so after the show !!! Gotta be in it to win it.
  16. Really enjoyed the show - fab. Thought the story worked very well & glad we saw it on the big stage DS had fab day of classes too. I didn't catch any other forum Mums though All need discreet purple rinses next time maybe !!?
  17. Are any Mums / Dads meeting up in Tring tomorrow ?
  18. Went last Saturday - it was amazing !!
  19. DS doing 30th too - in Jupiter H - & we're watching at Aylesbury
  20. Yes, Central offered a place to DS so great news ! Letter is also on way snail mail but they emailed it as they want acceptance by email 3 April & deposit by 10th. DS now has to choose between Central & Rambert & we're still trying to work out money to see if Tring dada place is even a possible alternative. Have huge outgoings & minimal household income so not very hopeful.
  21. Just had letter emailed from Central in view of Easter.
  22. Interesting. Thanks Ecarte. They ask to accept the place and pay £650 so that probably means they're calling it an acceptance fee not a place holding fee. Maybe I'll phone them tomorrow - we can't be the only ones in this position.
