Tring auditions - what do parents do for four hours?
Dancer's Driver replied to amos73's topic in Doing Dance
Follow the sign to the station and there's quite a big car park next to Waitrose - pay & display. Vaguely remember one behind Tesco Express too. -
I'm not sure this is allowed so Admin please move or delete if not My ds is in the 3rd year 6th form at Tring Park and he painted a picture of mansion & drive, originally to help raise money for the Grad Show which was last Friday. He also had some cards printed of the picture which proved to be very popular. There are a few cards left so I wondered whether any Tring parents might be interested - although it may be a bit late for this Christmas, they are blank inside so could be used for any reason. If anyone is interested please pm me and I'll try to show a photo and let you know the price.

Lemongirl & Interested Parent mentioned Berkhamstead - the antique shop is called Home and Colonial and there's a lovely coffee shop on the top floor. There's also a fab arts & crafts shop down a side road near the station opposite Waitrose car park and there are castle ruins just behind the station too. -
http://www.russianballet.co.uk Trained at Vaganova Academy in St Petersburg. My ds had 1-to-1 there before his vocational auditions. Various classes at PDSW too as lollylamb1 mentioned and studios are right next to the beach & gardens.

Swanprincess - yes it is. Just speak to them or specify one of the joint dates on your application. It's all very well organised.

My DS is in Lower 6th too - dance course - and especially loves talking to the boys on the school tours. He is very happy there dancing and taking 2 A levels. The pastoral support is excellent which is a relief for us parents

Yes, Central offered a place to DS so great news ! Letter is also on way snail mail but they emailed it as they want acceptance by email 3 April & deposit by 10th. DS now has to choose between Central & Rambert & we're still trying to work out money to see if Tring dada place is even a possible alternative. Have huge outgoings & minimal household income so not very hopeful.

Just had letter emailed from Central in view of Easter.

Interesting. Thanks Ecarte. They ask to accept the place and pay £650 so that probably means they're calling it an acceptance fee not a place holding fee. Maybe I'll phone them tomorrow - we can't be the only ones in this position.
