Hi just wondered if anyone had heard from Tring, my DC auditioned on Tuesday 25 Jan. It's the waiting ....
We were told 3weeks from audition date and by post (yr10 audition). Looking at the other threads it looks like they stick to that timescale.

It might be worth contacting straighttothepointe - Leanne is lovely, explains things very clearly and would know what may be best for your situation. She does only do Grishko, but might still be worth a chat.

Ah thank you, it was a no for RBS, but she did get Finals for Elmhurst and waiting on the postman for Tring! Hope you get your email soon and it’s good news xx

Yes, my DD and her friend got a reply from audition on 16th on Friday 21st - went into Junk mail though x

My DD has the same, about 10/15 seconds too long. I’m going with they won’t notice as long as it’s not too much over! 🙂

If it helps to know, my daughters ballet school have had girls go to ESB/ENB/Central/Rambert, without having been to a vicational lower school, and some without even going to Associate classes 😊

If you contact Adelia, she is exceptionally quick at responding to queries. It may be that the email is in junk?

Whilst I agree that professional photos may not be a necessity. It was something we decided to invest in this year (Yr10 auditions). We used a lady, called Jade Tinkler based in Tunbridge Wells - I was really pleased with the whole experience and the results. I think as a mum you just want the make sure you give your DD/DS a fighting chance - right leotard/clean tights and now some stand out photos (hopefully!). Over the years I have seen more and more acceptances of kids with professional photos on their applications - and less and less of those with standard teacher/studio photos. But that is the danger of going down the rabbit hole of Instagram hashtags…..
I think you can only do what you think is best for your child and your family situation x

We replaced the standard hoop with a removeable one. That would then swirl up in the suitcase, allowing the tutu to become somewhat less rigid to pack! I must add I got a seamstress to replace the hoop 😊. The only pain would then be putting it back through the loops in the tutu and taping it securely.

We have just sent off my DD’s audition application for year 10 entry for RBS (she’s currently in year 9) - am i reading correctly that everyone (girls) from that year who applies will be offered an audition class for Sunday 16th January 2022? Surely there could be 1000s who apply?
Also will there be a final audition for year 10 entry? It’s so confusing!
Last year my DD got offered a direct entry to the final audition (off back of the online summer school in 2020) - there were only approx 4 of them on the day and she didnt get a place, so i know how hard it is!
Same here! It’s a bit of a minefield.
But yes, if they get offered the audition it will be on 16th and then finals will be Feb/March time. One of the girls from my DD school auditioned for yr10 pre covid and said there wasn’t very many of them.

Nicola and her team of fabulous teachers are so supportive and nurturing. My DD has come on leaps and bounds with The Dance Conservatoire. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

White Lodge current students have their assessments next week. Some year groups do currently have spare beds but as has already been said they don’t mix year groups. One year group has been told places have already been offered to international students for September and to that they should think about plan B.
It’s just as difficult time for those already there as for those auditioning.
Oh this is so sad, it’s so tough this dance world x

Hopefully London 3 tomorrow? My DD is fine with it all, I think it’s us parents (def me) doing all the stressing! So amazed by the resilience these kids have, and I’m in awe of their attitude to it all 😊

I can’t help with the associates query, but when I was in Birmingham a few weeks ago I found a wildlife sanctuary in Edgbaston, not far from City Centre. There is a very nice Costa just up the road aswell.
