Hi all,

Question if you audition at 17 at upper school and are successful do you actually join as year 2 and have therefore skipped a year and only study at that school for 2 years?

Or do you slot in with first year 16 year olds and do the full 3 years ??

Anyone heard from the Tring reserve list yet ?

My dd on the reserve list for Elmhurst, letter says there are 18 on the reserve list and advises what number they are on there.

Do Elmhurst advise what number you are on the waiting list or how many is on it for lower school ?

Oh Jane I did not know that, well fingers crossed for all the current year 11's at Elmhurst

Do you think the Elmhurst results for upper school will be out before Easter ? Typically we are away visiting family next week so won't get to see my postman

On the plus side he won't have me peering out of the bedroom window looking for him lol

Is it just me or can anyone else not wait until the whole final auditions process is over and like Lisa said whatever will be will be ! I really would like my life back so heaven knows how are children are feeling !

Ohh Gollyrox I am routing for your DS and was thinking about you this morning, how many boys are attending the audition, could you see ? Have they said how many places ? I am keeping everything crossed for you both and hope he has a fabulous audition

Thank you Krishell, well done to you and your DD, massive achievement, I did phone the school to see where she was on the waiting list, and was told they are not giving this information out this year. But will not give up hope yet.

Ohh now you are asking dancing 10 my good wife took her but I know it was in the afternoon.

She said she felt it went really well and was also asked to see physio so hoping that was a good sign ?

Yes my Dd was there on Friday Dancing 10 and hopefully will know the outcome this week

Quick question will there be any pointe work in the funded finals tomorrow does anyone know ?

As you all know DD is currently auditioning for upper schools and after speaking to several moms last night at local dance school whose DC are in the same situation gave me thought for food.

My Dd is auditioned or about the audition of these schools, Elmurst, Kate Simmonds, Tring, BTUK and northern,

Now DD has her own opinion where she would love to go and she would have to board at them all so there would be no financial gain for any of them,

So if she was lucky enough and i could wave a magic wand to get a funded / scholarship/ bursery at all 5 of the above schools where would you advise to go

Now here is my pecking order which is based on..... NOTHING ... Absolutely nothing, and this is my point I have no facts or armed with much information about graduation stats about any of them.so my reasons are very brief,

So i put

1.. Elmhurst ( seems hardest to get into so must be good )

2. Tring ( only because I know a few older students from Dd school go there )

3, Kate Simmonds ( as I heard the teaching is good)

4. BTUK ( seems an up and coming school )

5 Northern ( as I know nothing about it )

So if you Dc got all 5 which one would you get excited about and think YES that's the one ( if any ! )

Can anyone enlighten me of what happens at upper school finals ? Tring, and Elmhurst

Do they have to do their solos again at Tring ?

Is it the case of everyone on a level playing field or do they take into consideration their first audition and have the details of that in front of them ?

Are they now looking for that ' something special ' wow factor ?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

ive made a right boo boo

ok DD has funding finals which is great, the news we wanted as we can't afford to send her without funding.

what I did not realise is that they took an annual bonus into the equation which means our joint income is a few thousand over the thresh hold

now my dear wife is more than happy to reduce her hours to put us back under the limit  but she has enquired this morning and they will not let her reduce her hours til next financial year. ( April )

what on earth am I going to do now ??:

would they take into consideration that our income will fall under the £90.000 in April 2016 ?

if they need P60's our 2014 / 2015 our income is under

if they need P60's our 2015 /2016 will be few thousand over

HELP !!

Any advice would be appreciated

Sorry Gollyrox, has your DS any more auditions coming up ? Or are you still awaiting on results from anywhere ?
