My daughter is a small 10 year old and I have always found the selection in the London shops to be a little lacking in her size. I have visited lots and I think I have only ever bought one or two leotards. Hopefully you will have more luck

Check out Just Jess for great skirts. She offers a custom service too if you have a leotard you would like to colour match etc.

The results came out on March 10th last year so I think it might be another couple
of weeks yet - unless anyone knows differently of course 😊

Hello! First time posting & as MyBalletboy said such a helpful community with loads of great advice! My DD got a yes and is in group 2. She also got SWL for Y6 RBS JA's which was a lovely surprise, but we know it's extremely unlikely to translate into a place! She's so thrilled about Tring & can't wait for September . Can anyone clarify how the assessments work? Are they yearly or more frequent and do they ever assess out?
Hey, my daughter started at Tring last year and is moving up to Class 2 in Sept. She also got a SWL place for yr6 JAs this year
My DD has loved Tring so far so I am sure your DD will too

No, he is very young and inexperienced! Not sure if he'll want to audition again, a year is a long time at this age isn't it?! Hopefully he'll stick with his ballet although he doesn't like being the only boy in his class.
Good luck everyone else though! Fingers crossed!
Sorry to hear about the not yet email for your son. If you are in travelling distance of Tring then you might like to look at their Kickstart for Boys workshops ( scroll down the link below) Apologies if you already know of this scheme or it is too far to travel.

For Eastleigh last week it appeared that all the no emails came out first, followed by the waiting list and then the yes emails. We had friends in each group of emails
Last yr we got London no emails just before 6 so perhaps it was the other way around to keep us guessing

Over the past year my daughter has done PBT type work, work on leaps/ jumps, repertoire and free work I believe.

Hi! Am new to all this and my dd got a swl for Eastleigh yesterday! Has anyone ever heard of anyone ever getting a place from having been on a swl? Seems crazy that anyone would refuse their place! Congratulations to those with a "yes", it's a tough process! X x
Hi, my daughter is also on the SWL for Eastleigh for a yr6 place.

It is a place on the short waiting list for my DD. So proud of her but I guess that means that the waiting goes on

Well done to all those with a yes! If it wasn't a yes this time then big hugs xxx
Ms Sunshine - well done to your DD as I recall our girls auditioned at the same time last year x

I have seen a post on Facebook indicating that the results are out.

My daughter is 9 and in grp 1. There is a range of ages in the class. My daughter does ballet 10.00-11.15 and then conditioning 11.30 - 12.15 I think.
-
-
I have spoken to them and they said they automatically assume everyone wants to be on the waiting list so don't panic!

Lovely article, thank you for sharing. My eldest daughter has a learning disability (with associated physical conditions) and has been taking ballet classes for 6 years. She now also takes classes with this amazing company http://stopgap.uk.com/ and dreams of being part of their touring company.
Success in dance for her is different but every bit as exciting. ????

Have you looked here. Not sure of their age range or criteria as I haven’t had time to look but was mentioned to me recently.
