Out of curiosity did anyone here see Melissa Hayden dance Lise with SWRB?  If so I would be very curious to know what you thought?

Ballet politics Janet ,Matthew Golding IMO is a good dancer but without passion ,why not have Chi Cao dance Swan Lake with Momoko Hirata,BRB should be strong enough to impose their casting

I do not think this format works 40 odd minutes of coaching a contemporary solo !! would like to see more class work (edited of course ) so to see more competitors ,ballet coaching about 2 mns today ,and after seeing the ballet girls solos yesterday wanting to see Mademoiselle Loudiere's comments as I felt they could do 3 or 4 pirouettes the épaulemant ,focus and artistry was lacking ,I did spot an Australian young lady with huge potential (no relation of mine before !!!)

I agree less of the judges competition  videos and i'm sure Miss Cuthbertson had more interesting things to say than was was broadcast .

I see that the dreaded Youtube has reared it's head , some of these students work on one or two variations for over a year with no concept of style or artistry ,just more pirouettes and extreme extensions ,how can a child of 11 or 12 do a variation like Giselle act one or black swan when it takes a ballerina years to perfect . They are drilled to dance like automatons perhaps impressive to some but as far as I am concerned it is a sad state of affairs . to go back to basics is not such a bad thing even top dancers do it .

Did anyone go to the Markova 2014 at Ivy House ? I was away ,i believe they were showing films of her dancing ,would have liked to see them.

Sir Antony Dowell taking rehearsal of Manon is so good , loved his De Valois impersonation!! Karen Kain and Magdalena Poppa did not get it .

I am in accordance with Clement Crisp on this one ,obviously a minority.
