Hello everyone, new to the forum.
My DD is Y6 Birmingham and absolutely delighted.
Does anyone know Y6 timings for Birmingham?Mine is the same 😀. They’ve said they’ll send the info as soon as they can. Would imagine we’ll get all the info before the end of the month.

Please can someone explain the abbreviations - JEP & SWL
also, are all the “no” emails identically worded - ours said they saw potentially & we should audition again next year....is this wording just a way of letting us down gently (1st time auditioning so no disappointment here😀)
Short waiting list and Junior Engagement programme which is done over zoom

Sorry for so many questions, were they pre recorded classes or were they live, I have heard that they were videos so just trying to see if they would be worth the money, thank you xxx
They we're live over a 10week course. She really enjoyed that and has gained a place this year too so they clearly helped her.

Yes it must vary centre to centre when we hear results. I wonder how likely getting a yr6 place is...
My DD was waitlisted for Brum last year. Results came out one year ago today

Wow this is a long audition process for the Juniors! But it sounds like if we are going to hear in April they must have started looking at the applications. Has anyone had a view yet? We haven’t.
No not yet. I keep checking

Amazed it’s a yes of my son! Can’t wait to tell him when he gets home from school.
He will have just turned 10 so I thought that being younger might play into the results
Congrats! My DD also got a yes!

Any idea when we might hear about Summer intensive results? We put in a last minute application but not holding out much hope as we know a lot of places will have gone to those who should have attended last year.....we didn't apply last year though.
I think around 31st of the month

Hi, this is my first post & I was wondering if anyone had heard about 16+ recall auditions. My daughter sent her video audition off before the final date of 5th February but hasn't heard anything since then. Would they usually inform if an applicant has been successful or not. Thanks.
They said results would be out around 24th MARCH XX

Thanks Lucyj - did they say that they would be able to be processed within 48 hours despite the bank hols/Easter?
Hi there, they didn't say either way, however there was no notification to suggest otherwise. I might give them a call to find out though

Sorry to hear some dc can no longer attend. Why does the covid test need be be booked 28 days in advance? I had bought a private test kit in September and it was delivered the next day.
Just booked through boots. There we're five or six appointments left for 3rd at the site we need to attend

Very tricky - we could be driving up to WL on the Tuesday still hoping to get results. One very disappointed DS if we don't. There was talk of being able to arrive Wednesday morning if this was the case but we had not planned booking a hotel (2.5 hours away) so either an emergency hotel or return trip the following day.
Headteachers are told that PCR tests are no longer required to confirm LFT positives as done under 'observation' the LFT's efficacy is nearly as good.
Considering the PCR will be done 3 days prior - it is not worth much as you could catch Covid leaving the site.
Quite down hearted about this really.
Just booked our PCR test for 3rd April. There are still appointments available although not many. We have one excited DD here!

feeling nervous now!!! good luck everyone

I am assuming that if we haven't heard by now then it's a no! Bit gutted really, it's also very difficult when no feedback is given
-
Did you find out via letter or email?
-
No Not heard anything yet. I have my fingers and toes crossed!
