I'm really looking forward to seeing Elmhurst tomorrow.  My dh took my little girl last time and I haven't seen it yet.  Good luck to the boys! Does anyone know how long after the final audition the results come out and do they send an email or letter?  Good luck to all going for it.

Has anyone had any yes's for Manchester Yr 7 White Lodge or Mids yet?

So just Birmingham to go...I feel sick... I don't think it will be a yes but I would just like to know. Power cuts and the wifi dropping out are not helping the nerves. So will it be today or will we have to wait till the morning?  

 

To anyone reading this thread in future years go the first audition wherever it is the waiting is horrible!!

I've not heard yet and neither has my friend....we were both Year 7 Manchester.....

Wow, sugarpumpkin well done to your DD, brilliant news.....still waiting to hear about my dd....I feel sick...just need to be put out of my misery.....when did you get your email?  Were you at London or Manchester? Congratulations anyway!!

Hello discomonkfish. Don't assume that it will be a no for finals. My DD applied twice for Summer School and was never accepted. However she was lucky to be accepted into WL and completed all 5 years of lower school. So I suppose what I'm trying to say is, that non acceptance to SS, doesn't mean anything when it comes to full time training. Good luck LTD

One of the other mums just messaged me to say her dd hadn't got a recall, I can't remember what email address I put down so I'm frantically refreshing every 5 minutes...checking junk mail etc will be so glad when this is all over LOL!  So pleased for all who have got into Summer School they will have a fabulous time...

I wonder if they tend to take older ones for SS then - to assess them for WL?

 

 

I was told at the weekend a friend was told by her RB JA teacher that you cant just audition for MAs, you have to audition for WL & MAs or just WL - can someone confirm if this is true?  Her daughter doesnt want to go away to school, but would love to try for MAs but isnt sure what to do now.

Is her dd at Royal ballet associates.  My dd is and she didn't get into summer school last year.  One of the other girls did though.  Her and my daughter were both year 5.  The other little girl I think is amazing (to my untrained eye) and I felt they were checking her out for admission but that's pure speculation.

You just don't know what they are looking for.  The auditions for WL and MA take the form of an associate class but with people on a panel watching.  You can just for MA if you want as far as I know.   I'd go for it xx

Well done to everyone who has heard back and got a yes.  You must be so giddy!  The suspense is killing me.  I'm waiting to hear if dd has a yes or no following auditions for WL and Mids in Manchester.  We went on 20th January has anyone else heard yet?  Been having problems with my email and I'm paranoid I'm going to miss it.  I'll be so glad to know if its a yes or a no...what a rollercoaster.  Good luck to everyone x

Thanks shygirlsmum will check out that thread...sorry it was a no.  We applied for a non residential week in July / August.  Not sure if the YBSS funding audition is the same thing?  Fingers crossed, those 6/7 weeks are a long time without any training, all new to me and find it hard to know what options there are out there for the Summer.  All the best.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had heard back from the Yorkshire Ballet Summer School about their child being allocated a place?  They were due to be sent out w/c 4 May I believe, hoping there will be a letter soon to put me out of my misery

My DD has applied for the WL summer school she's in yr5 JA not sure if anyone's heard back yet about places..On mobile so only getting notifications can't read back on thread...
