  1. Sorry to hear about the 'no' letters-some of you will know we have had our share of those in the past but dd has kept trying and is enjoying some yeses now which is lovely-so don't give up if it's what you want!!

Just had a yes to Elmhurst 6th form finals

What date did your dd audition on swe?

  2. Hi all,

Just out of interest do you miss time off school for the EYB productions? And if so how many? Was thinking of auditioning, however this year is my GCSE year and I can't afford to miss anymore days off school as I've already missed lots for panto and auditions. Could I audition and then turn down the part?

    Thanks

  3. Hi all,

I've got my elmhurst upper school audition coming up, and I just wondered if anyone could answer a few of my questions as I am not knowing what to expect. Could anyone with experience tell me about the class content of the audition, what should I expect, and also what standard is the audition set around? Also, is it advisable to stop over night before the audition as we have just over a 2 hour journey?

    Thanks :)

  4. Thanks to all the speedy replies. Would anybody be able to tell me what level advanced 1 RAD is in terms of ISTD? I presume you are talking about RAD. How do the two compare? Thanks again :)

  5. Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, and have learnt so much from reading your previous posts. Although, I was wondering if anybody with experience of auditioning for sixth forms, could tell me at around what grade/level the Tring, Elmhurst and Hammond auditions are? Also, do they look for potential at 16, or is that mainly at 11? And finally which one of the 3 schools would be best for somebody hoping to pursue a contemporary career?

    Thanks
