Hi. I just requested 16th Sept till 14July. The office said we could tweak the dates later so if we needed an extra night etc Iβm sure it would be fine. Is your daughter going to go to LSC ? πΒ

I felt that staying here for the first year would be a good start πππ»

Hope u get a room sorted soon. ππ»

Has anyone managed to secure accommodation at Chester House, starting in Sept as a first year student. Been told there is a WL and wonder if this is no longer an option. Accommodation selection available at 16 is minimal...or am I missing somewhere. Txs
I have got accommodation for my DD. Had an email yesterday. Itβs just a standard room but will be fine for her. ππ»

My Dd has now decided to accept the offer at LSC. She had some other offers but that is where she always wanted to go from the first time we went there for Open day etc. Feel so happy that we can now focus on sorting everything out ππ»πExciting times ahead. Good luck to you all on your choices β¦ itβs complicated juggling and waiting xx

Thanks for everyoneβs help. Itβs been so supportive. Finally after a season Β of auditions and a variety of offers, my DD has decided to go with the offer from LSC with the BA in Theatre Dance (Jazz). Now we know we can get cracking on everything! Good luck to everyone π€π»πππ»xx

Oh thanks so much. Good to hear. We are in Scotland so sheβll be far from home. We are just looking at all options. She has an offer for the BA (hons)in Theatre Dance - Jazz pathway. Not totally decided until all audition results come in. Lots to consider ππ»and want to be organised for all eventualities π

Still awaiting the result ππ«π. We are not good at this game. Once we know whatβs to be we can make decisions ππ»Hoping soon.

@kazia1Β DD auditioned on a Saturday and we got an email the following Friday. Good luck βοΈ
Oh that good so not too long. Sheβs interested in the jazz route which sounded great. I loved the way that they were concerned about employability. The positive destinations of their graduates was impressive. ππ»

Any other options for accommodation near LSC ? Not totally decided yet but keeping all options open. Looking to factor in accommodation prices etc before deciding. Thanks ππ»

Hi, does anyone have experience of Chester House for LSC students? Just doing a bit of research before final decisions on where for DD? Sheβs decided not to do further auditions and look at her offers. What a busy time for all! Thx ππ»

All done now. DD enjoyed her day and got a good feeling about the place. It was very informative and like an audition and open day rolled into one ! How long did it take for results? Hate this waiting game again as decisions need to be made asap. Thanks so much every for your invaluable information. πππ»

Parents come back for the Q&A. NBS look after the parents with tea and coffee set up for you in the morning in a studio where you can wait and then a presentation by the deputy principal after lunch break followed by a tour.Β
Thanks for the information ππ»

Did the parents stay or go and come back for Q & A ? π

DS auditioned last year in person (and now currently in 1st year, and loving it) β¦ audition comprised of classes in the morning, ballet and then I think jazz or modern? They had current students in the classes with them so they have someone to look to if they get in a pickle. Then the flexibility assessment which is done as a class so not as intimidating as it sounds, then school talk & tour (with parents) which was a good chance to ask lots of questions, and then solos and interviews. Solos were a complete mixβ¦ they study all genres of dance so it really can be anything. DS did a piece of music that changed half way did he could do a bit of ballet and a bit of contemporary, but literally there were people doing all genres. Interview was fineβ¦ he said it was gentle, just a nice chat about what he loved about dancing, what his ambitions were and whether we were supportive of the application. Teas and coffees laid out for parents and somewhere for us all to sit on a very rainy day. It was probably the most welcoming and friendly audition we did. They also offer free workshops and summer schools which give you a taster of the school too. Β Good Luck!!Β
Thank you. It sounds like a very positive experienceπHow long did it take for the results?Β
