"Major release documentary"? What on earth does that mean?
I'd assume this means it will be release in Cinemas, that's my guess at least, especially if this is part of the Sundance selection.

It looks like it
No Principal role for Miss Choe in Manon or Don Q. (Mr. O'Hare has cast Miss Takada and Kaneko as "Kitri" over Miss Choe, and Miss Hayward as "Manon" over her); she only gets Principal performances as "Alice". The fast tracking of Miss Hayward may be a sign of things to come and I wouldn't be surprised she'll also gets cast as "Lise" later on in the year (potentially three Principal roles for a First Artist in one Season. When has that ever happened before?).
F. Hayward may not be a First Artist anymore come October? I've enjoyed her perfs to date and she's stepped up to each chance she was given, so I'm looking forward to see what she does with Manon and Alice.
I also hope we get to see Y. Choe in more principal roles next year. I'd like to see what she can make of more dramatic ones.

That tweet (saying that he'd do everything to be on stage and that the day had more importance than it being his birthday) is the sole reason I booked a ticket for the 5th after his injury although I had already blown my tickets budget, I just wasn't expecting Alina to leave as well. I hope I'll be able to see them guest elsewhere or with RB. And on another note, I hope Yuhui gets Alina's Juliets!Kobborg was intimating months ago on Twitter that June 5th was going to be a very special performance, so I doubt this has been arranged suddenly. My guess is that it has only been confirmed this late because there was a question mark over Cojocaru's participation.
With four principals going, this is indeed going to leave a major hole in the company, and I don't see four "in-house" dancers being in a position to "step up".

I've got tickets for Soares and Pennefather. Looking forward to it. I've seen the Watson version on dvd and I found it confusing to follow, but interesting and very dark, so really looking forward to seeing it live. Think there should be more ballets created around the male dancer, as it creates a different dynamic.
I went to the Pennefather/Hamilton rehearsal this morning and I thought it was truly gripping but you really feel for the male lead at the end! I was sitting in the front row (stalls circle) and at the end it started to feel like the pain expression on his face was very real. I particularly liked Itziar Mendizabal's Countess Larisch and I am now really looking forward to Hamilton's Juliet after seeing her as Mary.

There is a schools' matinée on 2 May. I would assume it is that to which Roberta is referring, rather than any suggestion that Lamb is injured.
If that's the case, I'm glad there isn't another injured dancer.

Hello,
I read on Roberta Marquez instagram (under a photo posted by her) that she are going to dance La Bayadère also the 2nd of May.
I suppose she'll also replace Sarah Lamb?
The text of her answer says "Pre general 4th April performances 12th April, 2nd and 6th May"
Is Sarah Lamb hurt as well? A while ago I read on twitter that Hikaru Kobayashi would be replacing Lauren Cuthbertson, considering how slow ROH is about announcing cast change, can anyone confirm this?

oh nooooo!!! :-( Hope she is even now making a speedy recovery...
(she did manage a performance in Las Hermanas as well, but otherwise, yes, a long time out of action, bless her)
That's too bad, hope she'll make a speedy and full recovery. It must be frustrating for her.

Is Cojocaru injured ?
According to Twitter she is.
-
Cast change for La Bayadere on 5 April: Marquez replaces Cojocaru.
Cast change for Alice on 6 April: Choe & Kish replace Stix-Brunell & Pennefather.
That's too bad, I booked this Sat just to see BSB in the role but it'll be interesting to see Yuhui in Alice again. She was lovely a couple of weeks ago. Is it known who's hurt, BSB or RP (I'm assuming someone's injured)?

I brought a friend who had never seen Giselle and she loved it. I thought Osipova was fantastic and did some jaw-dropping technical prowess but I agree with Sim, I didn't shed a tear which I usually do when I watch Giselle. Apart from Osipova and Vasiliev, it's not one of my favorite production and I was less convinced by the corps. I also could have done without the tree moving up and down on the left-hand side, although I'm guessing that people seating more center than me probably didn't find it as distracting?
-
I'm quite excited for the full lenght ballets, 3 of my favourites are on: Don Q, Romeo & Juliet and Giselle. I'm also looking forward to Sweet Violet that I missed last year.

LC is still scheduled for the 13th, I hope it means she's close to being back on stage. I hadn't booked for Lamb but I'll try to get a return for YC.
Did Itziar Mendizabal get pulled from the run? I had noted she was supposed to play the Queen for the Beatriz's shows.
-
He's not dancing it according to their official twitter, see posts on the 26: https://twitter.com/SchaufussBallet
I wonder where the rumour came from for the Independent to have bought it

This is going to be a "sad" year. 3 Etoiles are retiring. According to Pink Lady in the following order: Agnese Letestu with La Dame aux camélias, Isabelle Ciaravola with Onegin (I might actually make the trip home for this one) and Nicolas Le Riche with a special evening at the end of the season.
-
Beatriz will be back for her lead role in Alice, after injury prevented her from rehearsing (and so being cast) in the current productions. Will be glad to see her back for sure!!
Glad to hear she'll be back for Alice. I've missed her on stage.

Check twitter, quite a few people posted curtain calls photos. I agree with Sim, M&A was truly magical. It was my second time seeing the bill (also saw it on the 12th) and everything seemed cleaner and sharper. I liked La Valse much better on the second viewing but that might be due to be higher up (balcony instead of stalls circle on the 12th).
-
Still no Beatriz Stix-Brunell? I haven't seen her dance in ages! I guess she might make an appearance in a second cast
-
All best in the future for her. Sadly I never got to see her dance Juliet.

Mathilde Froustey actually dansed Kitri today with Alu, apparently a last minute change she was informed of only this morning (according to Twitter).
