We’re thinking the same but I would have thought they’d have emailed the nos as well today? I’m sure we’ll hear tomorrow. DD is okay about it, she thought it was a really hard audition and wasn’t at all confident.

Yes I thought nos would have been sent the same day too, they did say we would hear by Friday either way...maybe they are still deciding on some 🤷‍♀️. Mine found it hard too but really enjoyed it! Was your DD in the younger group too? She said there was some very strong dancers

My DD auditioned a few years ago now! ( and is still training with scholars )

It was an hour or so ballet class with Mr Howland. At some point during the class they were split into 3 or 4 groups. At the end of the class, one of the groups was told they could go home, and the other groups stayed for a Jazz class with Miss Dee. After that they all left and we waited for an email! DD really enjoyed her audition and was over the moon to be offered a place on scholars. DD said there were other people watching the class/making notes, but she can't really remember now.

I'm not sure if it is the same format now, but DD said the audition class was just like classes were once she started.

Thank you, thats really helpful 😀 Can you remember if the auditions were based on age groups or all together?

I often say to my DS, even if he had 300 followers, he doesn't know 300 people!  3000 followers won't make his turnout any better than 3, or 30....  And no where on an application form does it ask for what brands you are an ambassador for.  I like and loathe social media; its bought many opportunities to my attention, but I am quite confident (and hopeful) it plays no part in selection at audition.  I'm with you, they are still only looking at potential.

So very true! I also think social media can be brilliant and does offer many great opportunities! Me and my daughter look together and really enjoy watching everyone's journey. All children who have had offers have worked incredibly hard and deserve to be able to celebrate their success.

I think if we all had endless amounts of money we would also pay for our children to do extra classes and associate classes if that's what they wanted. Im not in that position so we just work with what we've got 😊 I like to think they are also looking for potential still

  4. I must admit, I have been thinking exactly the same recently! Its very hard not to get sucked up into the perfection of the Instagram world! Remember that most people only post the 'positive' stuff though.

I wouldn't let it stop your daughter from trying though, if that's what she wants to do. Shes got as much chance as anyone else 😁 as long as she is happy and enjoying the experience

Just CAT for us. DD already does RBS associates so figure we’ve got our associate class...it’s a risky one to go for though😬😬

7 views sound very positive 🤞😁. I've had a look at the website and it looks like anyone lucky to get an invite to the finals it will be on the 18th April

Mine hasn’t been watched over the weekend. It’s on Dropbox so I set it to a minute from the end so I could see if anyone looked but it’s still in the same place. I feel like it might not be until the end of the week😭😭 Good luck everyone xxxx

I have a feeling they might wait until after the free boys class they are doing on Friday. Does anyone know if they usually do the CATs and associate emails together? Or do they concentrate on CATs first?

Same here, I’m clueless when it comes to dance! This forum has been a sanity-saver! We’re quite close to Leeds so it’s a great option.

Glad to know I'm not the only clueless parent. Yes, I've had a good read through some of the other posts on here and learnt alot so far 🙂

Just Northern for us, inter foundation associates and CAT. We considered schools but she’s not boarding material yet, CAT would be the perfect opportunity.

Its a big step isn't it! Fingers crossed for your daughter🤞. We couldn't commit to all of the travelling for CATs so we just went for associates. I'm not from a dancing background myself so this is all completely new and just learning as we go along!

Did your DC apply for the junior associates? I think I recall @CRHsaying their DC applied for senior associates? I’m probably clutching at straws but I imagine they’d need to scrutinise a senior applicant in more detail? I haven’t looked at viewings on mine, I’m too scared I’ll accidentally delete it or something daft! But I wouldn’t think the number of viewings means anything - I’m pretty sure I read on the WL thread that sone videos were watched very briefly and got through to finals!

Good luck everyone! I’m sure we’ll be relieved of this horrid waiting soon! And then hopefully thrown straight back into it for finals!!!!! 🤞🤞🤞

Yes, junior associates for us. Your so strong for not looking at the viewings! I'm trying not to think too much into it, but its very hard. Hopefully the waiting game will be over soon, looking like it could be next week now 😅. Have you applied for any other programs?
