Any suggestions of what you should take to Chester House? Do they have to keep their kitchen utensils, plates etc in their room? Is a small fridge freezer recommend. Thanks for your time π
-
I don't have any recommendations but might be worth having a look on the FB Freshers page, as there are students posting about accommodation/house share. Hope you get something sorted.

Really pleased to have an offer from London Studio Centre along with aΒ scholarship. However, decision is required before other auditions are completed. Anyone know if these dates are flexible?
Well done on your offer, did you decide or have LSC extended your decision date?

I can't seem to get a definitive answer regarding student maintenance and fees from SFE for 16 year olds. Have others DC who are 16, easily applied and been accepted for both these loans? This would be for a foundation degree. Many thanks π€―

Hi. I just requested 16th Sept till 14July. The office said we could tweak the dates later so if we needed an extra night etc Iβm sure it would be fine. Is your daughter going to go to LSC ? πΒ
Txs. Yes, if we can get accommodation π¬

What dates are students requesting rooms until, assume after show week? Want to make sure I have understood it correctly π

Have been searching for accommodation for a 16 year old with no luck as yet. Manna Ash and Drapery are saying 18 as are Unite. Anyone had an luck, would hate to miss out but it seems to be extremely difficult for 16 year olds. Unless I'm missing something!!?Host family contacts or spare room in current student houses if anyone has any details would be great. Thanks all.

I have got accommodation for my DD. Had an email yesterday. Itβs just a standard room but will be fine for her. ππ»
That's great news π

Is this for all of their rooms? Standard rooms (non-en-suite) are usually available. Each corridor has around 12 rooms with bathrooms at each end. Otherwise LSC usually send out a list of accommodation and new joiners connect on social media. Always people looking for people to house share.
I requested standard or ensuite (don't mind either) but yes on WL. Fingers crossed π€

Has anyone managed to secure accommodation at Chester House, starting in Sept as a first year student. Been told there is a WL and wonder if this is no longer an option. Accommodation selection available at 16 is minimal...or am I missing somewhere. Txs

This came up for us at the Laine audition where most first years are 18 these days. The students themselves said most socialising happens in homes but of course there are some times when the 16-17 year olds can't go out with the older students. My DD decided that going to a college where there's a higher proportion of 16 year olds might be preferable.
Thanks for your reply

My Dd was 16 when she went. She has not had any problems. During Freshers week they did organise several activities and some you had to be 18 for but there are other 16 year olds so always someone around to spend time with.
Thank you, this is really useful.

My Dd has now decided to accept the offer at LSC. She had some other offers but that is where she always wanted to go from the first time we went there for Open day etc. Feel so happy that we can now focus on sorting everything out ππ»πExciting times ahead. Good luck to you all on your choices β¦ itβs complicated juggling and waiting xx
Good luck to your Dd, that's amazing. My Dd is only 16 and we can't decide whether now is the right time or wait until 18. I do wonder from a social aspect whether at 16 you'll get left behind as you won't be able to go out with the older students etc..

It is popular especially if you want an en-suite room so I would suggest contacting them. It is mainly LSC and Urdang students.
Thank you. Would be ideal if we accept offer at LSC but awaiting finals too elsewhere. It's difficult getting everything to line up!

Anybody know how quickly Chester House get booked up? Have an offer for LSC but keeping options open at the moment. Is it mainly LSC students there?

Would be really interested to hear experiences studying at LSC for the Fda - classical ballet route, at 16yrs. Trying to consider options for Dd and whether to wait to study BA at 18. Thanks in advance π

Would be really interested to hear from anyone that has experience of IC at their new Woking site. Dd has an offer for Trinity Diploma Prof dance. Any replies appreciated, thank you.Β

We are going through this whole journey too with my 16 year old. Offers from KS and Italia Conti, awaiting results from other auditions. I do find it difficult to find information on accommodation for 16 year olds. Anyone have any info for either KS or IC, Woking?Β

Anyone know how many places were available for Senior SS? Wait list for us sadly π. Any experience of what movement is like on this?Β

No news as yet, hopefully we'll hear next week π€·ββοΈ

Thank you. That's interesting I didn't know it was 3 meals on a Sunday - thought it was brunch and evening meal. My Dd will be pleased, less cooking π
May I ask what your Dd does with regards to a GP and dentist whilst at Chester House. Was thinking of getting private medical insurance too?
Thank you.
