My DD has accepted and is really excited. We’ve looked up the ones on the website and also found  this morning:

    https://www.sanctuary-students.com/student-accommodation/london/manna-ash-house

It would be good to know where other first years will be and anywhere to avoid etc…

I’ve been looking too and been recommended manna ash house as it’s walking distance. Be interested to know where others are going as keen my DD is with other first years…..quite daunting isn’t it?

Thank you for the update. Does anyone know how long they have from offer to accept ?

Tues 5th April is the deadline. Fingers crossed to everyone on the waitlist. 🤞I have heard of quite a few that are not accepting their places. Hope you hear soon x

Does anyone know why central made phone calls? The hoards of us in the dark with no phone call are all feeling a bit crap!

No idea why they made calls tbh. It was a quick call to offer a place and that was it. No asking whether you’d accept or not, just to expect an email next week. Hopefully more calls on Monday or emails. It’s so dreadful the waiting game but I do know of 3 girls who also got calls who won’t be accepting the place so fingers crossed more places will available very soon. Good luck with everything and hang in there! Xx

Hi yes it was by phone, which I won’t lie threw me.  They spoke to DD rather than me.

    DD is thrilled x

That’s so amazing, huge congratulations to your DD!

Just because I know our nerves are a bit jangly waiting for results, and it’s helpful to know if others have heard (or maybe not!)

DD has heard from Central this morning.

    Good Luck everyone xx

Was is by phone? I’ve just had a missed call and no answer when trying to call them back!! Hope it was good news for your DD xx

As far as I am aware, the MDS is only for yr7 - 11 and DADA is for 6th form.   I don't think MDS funds are available for 6th form students.

From what I have been told, Tring can offer some 'assistance' with the accommodation fees to those in receipt of DADAs, but only in line with the maintenance funding on the link posted above - ie you'd need to be on less than £30,000 household income to get help.  They don't care about your outgoings  This may be old information, but that's what help they offered a friend of mine a few yrs ago.  I guess the best thing to do is contact them and ask if there is any doubt.

Is that true…no MDS for sixth form? Are scholarships available for sixth form? If it’s only DADA then sadly Tring isn’t viable for us 😢

  7. Quick question too, if that’s ok…..can you get MDS for upper school Eg Tring. My DD is only auditioning in the slim hope of getting funding but it looks like MDS is only for lower school and Dada for upper school/college. Is that right? If so…..oh dear😢

  8. Hi, my dd is on the short wait list for SAs having never auditioned before so she’s over the moon! DD is hoping that she will get a place but what are the chances? Anyone know how many are actually on the wait list? Trying not to be negative but just want to manage her expectations! Any advice would be fab - we’re v new to all this!

  9. Thanks - I’m new to all this! My DD auditioned for SAs having never auditioned before so just not sure what to expect. Not sure I ticked both boxes either - missed a trick there! So I’m interested to know when everyone hears and wish everyone the best of luck. I suppose if I didn’t tick the box, I won’t hear until April? Who knows.......guess it’s just a waiting game now......
