Does anyone know if they actually use their yoga mats? DD travelling by train so don’t want to take it (and probably forget it on the train 😂) if they don’t actually use them!
Equally any items that she definitely should take other than the norm ballet clothing? -
The ENB associates started in September 2021

My daughter did both RBS and ENB, to be honest she found it slow and not a patch on her SAs class. When she was there there was no extra opportunities with the school and I felt like it wasn’t really worth it, pleased to hear that they have listened to the feedback from parents and starting to offer more.
I have no experience of the Central associates but have heard from friends that it’s a very good course. -
Does anyone know when we get the email with all the info? I’m specifically wanting to book trains and trying to work out the Sunday drop off time and Saturday departure!

My daughter is a senior. We have only paid the deposit so far as well.

No, nothing more than the email to say they’d received the deposit.

There are quite a few people in Central first year now who are a year or two older so don’t worry. It’s a fabulous school and my daughter is extremely happy there. Fingers crossed that she recovers quickly and gets off the wait list.

It maybe depends where you're coming from but we've always taken the train to Harrogate and then either a taxi or bus from there to the school (if we have suitcases etc) or if it's just me going back to collect (with no luggage) then it's about a 30 min walk.
It's only about 10 mins drive from Harrogate station to the school, I think we paid about £8ish in a taxi at Easter.
Thank you.

Please can I ask advice from those who’ve been before? If travelling on the train, is it easier to go to Harrogate, Pannal or Hornbeam Park? Thanks

My daughter attended summer intensives of the upper schools she wanted to apply to at 16, it really helped her work out where she wanted to go.

Penny Kay used to be a my daughters Royal Ballet Associate teacher, she was excellent on feet and so helpful.
She’s now a full time podiatrist, so I’m sure would be a good starting point.https://www.swpodiatry.co.uk/team/penny-kay/

My daughter was attending a regular weekly RAD class in the London headquarters and was invited to the scholars class from there.
The RAD did mention that they would be offered performance opportunities, she’s only done one term so far. She did take part in the opening of the new building.- 1

My daughter has been attending the senior scholars this term, she has really enjoyed the classes. It was invitation only and wasn’t a large class. It’s un set work which she likes and a mix of boys and girls. The teacher for the junior scholars is equally lovely as well.

There’s also friendship house in Southwark they are taking 16 year olds.

My DD handed back her place at the start of the week. I don’t remember seeing an acceptance date like the others have been. She did also have to go on the UCAS website and decline on there. Good luck 🤞🏻

Email has just come out. 🤞🏻

Tring results are out for 24 Jan , at Tring does the dada not cover any accommodation costs ? Is there any support available for accommodation costs if not ? Trying to see if it’s even worthwhile attending funding audition ? X
That’s the exact question I have as well!

Yes, very thank you! 😃

Loads of the second years live at Friendship house, they have single rooms or twin rooms available, but you do have to get your name down early as they get booked up fast especially if under 18.
