It is impossible to calculate the odds but all I can say from my observations is that if they want someone enough in whatever year and there is funding available then they will find space!

Out of interest how many children do they take into a year group at Elmhurst, and is it the same amount of boys to girls, is there a set number or do they go over or under?

Was anyone at Tring funding today, how did it go, anyone know how many funded places? 

I wonder if anyone can help, or has been through the same situation,  my daughter is in year 9 at The Hammond School, and although it is a lovely school and she has progressed so much there, we live so far away from the school, and has had a few issues with friendships and other bits this year, so decided to audition at Tring park and Elmhurst as they are both nearer home and would make life a little easier with the endless times traveling up to chester, well now my daughter has got to finals at Elmhurst and funding audition for Tring, now I have just gone into panic mode, as I know Tring apply to hammond for a reference and I know you have to get A reference from hammond for Elmhurst, now my question is has anyone been through this and managed to get a reference from hammond as I know they don’t like you auditioning out, my daughter is on a mds can they take that away from her for auditioning at other schools, and what happens if the hammond don’t give a reference?  I’m worried cause if all fails with Tring and Elmhurst my daughter will have to carry on at the hammond, please any advice would be appreciated
