  2. Is anyone from the South Wales area interested in sharing lifts for afternoon classes next year? We are struggling a little with this. My daughter will be year 9 but happy to drive slightly earlier and leave Elmhurst later if necessary x

Also, this is the third year in a row that she has applied & this is the first time that she will progress to the next stage.  So, if you are not successful first... keep going! x

    Love this congratulations x

This will make my DD feel better knowing she's not on her own, I hate delivering the news and the tears that follow.once shes had a cry its done and she moves on. Hopefully next year 🤞 x

My daughter was going for year 9 and got a no. I doubt there would have been much movement in this year especially as students would have paid for this year an d hardly attended. Good luck for all your beautiful children. They are brave resilient and I am sure wonderfully talented xxxxx

  5. The Email I received said the selection process for Elmhurst would be done by the 21st Feb and I would receive an email by 28th Feb so presumably I will hear the week after the  half term holiday (Welsh half term starts 15th Feb) x

  6. My daughters has been taking classes with this company via Zoom during lockdown. They have been exceptional. She also participated in the Summer School which again was fabulous. The tuition has been personal, professional and progressive. I would 100% recommend this company and urge people to join in with the opportunities they offer. Sarah runs the program and is one of our lockdown hero’s xxxxx

Hi, my daughter is auditioning Saturday the 5th September but we have no idea what to expect. She’s kept her ballet up over lockdown but not the extent of what her training used to be like. Has any one auditioned for the extended dancers before, and know what it’s like

    what leotard should she wear?

will she look out of shape compared to everyone else?

how many get excepted into the course?

how many people go up to audition?

do they only except people of a certain shape ect?
    Many thanks xx

My daughter auditioned this year via zoom for the year 8 program. We were emailed with details on what to wear. I think it was a leotard, ballet socks and her flat ballet shoes. Hair was well groomed into a bun. She did some warm up exercises, lots of work in the centre, improvisation to a Piece of music she recognised and exercised based around flexibility. They spent some time talking to the participants and relaxing them.
I don’t know the answer to the other questions sorry.

Good luck to your lovely daughter. My daughter really enjoyed the experience x

    Newcastle results are just out.

It's a no for my DD, which is what we expected. There were an awful lot of lovely children auditioning in Newcastle this year, more than last year and way more than when my DS auditioned 4 years ago. And only a really small number of places (Newcastle is a single mixed class, years 4-6 and probably only about 12 places in total, most taken by existing students) so the odds were slim.

    We we had fun though!

Good luck to everyone still waiting! ????

    Xxxxxxx
