Thank you this is all really helpful information and puts my mind at ease a little. She liked the school and loved that it was in Manchester City centre. I was worried about her staying in uni accomodation as she is only 16 but I understand they put the northern students together.

Does anyone have any experiences they can share re training at northern ballet it is one of the schools where dd has been offered a place and any knowledge/advice would be greatly appreciated.

They keep back from each session so I believe some were kept back from the morning and did their solos before the afternoon auditions then five kept back from the afternoon session.

It's all very daunting and so much pressure for them we are still in the midst of auditions/funding etc

They email results really quickly only a couple of days before you get a response. From speaking to others offers not made unless you are asked to perform a solo even then no guarantee of offer, rambert said this wasn't the case but I know if many who have auditioned and this has always happened but as I say I can't guarantee it just going on experience. We did Rambert on 6th Jan five girls were kept back to do solos out of all of those auditioning. There were about twenty four in the class in total. They ran very behind and auditions started very late due to them overrunning in the morning.
