Our postman has just been and my son is in the reserve pool for Elmhurst.

A big well done to those who have got in, and those that don't just remember it is not the end it is still the beginning of a journey. As others have said there are many ways to take the journey and I believe if it's right it will happen.

I haven't told my son yet (still at school) but whatever happens I'm very proud of his achievements so far.

What sort of feedback did you get from WL if you don't mind me asking? I didn't feel there was any although my son has been offered a MA despite not even getting on the wait list from finals.

Ballet4boyz I think it tells you on the letter if you have made reserves. It seems there is a yes no and maybe if someone declines. The no feedback is really tough to deal with, even WL offered feedback which if you then couples it with who did make it you get a good picture of why they didn't make it.

 

Today feels like a real roller coaster day for those with a Yes it's absolute elation but for the maybes and the nos it's really tough going. Mums/dads I feel your pain today, speak to your dance teachers because just like your DC you need picking up too!

I've just received the Royal MA email (London) offering my son a place on the scheme. No post for Elmhurst yet!

They will know that so many associates places will be available due to current associates potentially moving into the next phase due to age so they can confidently offer that many places. They also always offer a waiting list so if places are not accepted or dancers are assessed out more places become available.

Now I'm getting impatient again!!! I had misread and thought the Elmhusrt auditions were Monday through Thursday but have now realised the 'rest' day was Wednesday so maybe lower school letters ARE on the way!

I'm sure I remember March sometime.

I have to say my gut feeling is that after auditions at the school Monday to Thursday, today would be the day the panel make final decisions and letters are prepared to be sent out. Just my thoughts on the process! I'm finding this week has gone exceedingly slowly....once the letters have arrived we can move on!!

While waiting for letters does anyone know when London (Royal) MA offers are due?

I know for RBS associates different letters are sent out if you don't get a place initially...is waiting list, interested, and a polite (can try again) no!

Is there levels of no for WL finalists or one standard letter?

Balletmum20, I would assume some might do if they would rather go to Elmhurst then WL, although I don't know how long you have to accept a place.

Ballet4Boyz it is so hard for them when they get so far then get a no. I think being at WL and seeing the dorms etc made it seem so much more real to my son so the no was even harder! is your son auditioning at any other place?

For my son it is a no but still looking forward to Elmhurst next Monday!

Thank you Janetnulty, my son's ballet teacher has texted me this morning and said she's heard might be out by the end of today!

I think there were 23 boys for Y7, as 28 in Blue group and from what I understand there were 5 in the GP for Y8
