Thank you for your replies. We’re now looking into York’s summer scholars school- thank you Leggseleven.

No she’s not auditioning for next year she’s just looking for good quality classes. She likes the idea of the different classes they offer-ballet (first love), musical theatre, jazz and contemporary. If anyone can recommend a different option then I’d be grateful.

Does anybody have any experience of this summer school? My 15 year old daughter is keen to go but I’m reluctant to sign her up as she won’t know anybody and she will need to stay in accommodation provided as we live too far away to commute. Classes finish at 4pm so I’m wondering what they do in the evening? The last day to register is tomorrow as I’m leaving it all to the very last minute........

Hi, my daughter is 14 years old and her last exam was so intermediate but this was over a year ago. I think she enjoys free work rather than syllabus- but I’m not really sure what this all means. She already dances with Annette Nicholson every other Sunday.  I’ve not heard of MIDAS so I will have a look into that- thanks for your help Jane.

Im wondering if schools only run summer schools or if they run the equivalent at other times of the year? I'm particularly looking for a course over the winter (or Easter if I've left it too late) for my 14 year old daughter. She mainly ballet but loves to give all dance styles a go. We're Midlands based but happy to travel.

4 x polo shirts age 9-10,

Formal uniform skirt 56 cm in length and 60cm around the waist,

Formal uniform pink top,

Formal uniform blazer marked large, arms measure 57cm,

Character skirt 67 cm long, 60cm waist- this is adjustable,

Fleece waist coat XS,

and 2x V Neck sweat shirts age 11/12

All these were purchased for year 7 and only used for half a term some have never been worn.

I have the following items that my DD no longer has use for:

I'm also on the hunt for a private tutor. We live in Worcestershire and I'm trying to find someone who's able to teach my dd at her school. Any help/ advice would be very welcome.

I think you will find there are two types of auditions. Open auditions and auditions by appointment. Auditions by appointment are usually, but not always, through an agent. Open castings will be advertised (Notapushymum, screen Terrier, Jo hawes website and are often only for children who live in and around London). Hope this is helpful.
