  1. Boogalou, I would order everything you can from other suppliers. With regard to academic uniform this could be school shirts, socks/tights only as the skirt is a specific type. With regard to dance uniform I would get everything other than the blue ballet leotard from other suppliers as they will be cheaper!

  2. Boogalou, mine started in year 9 last year, and I was also worried about them fitting into established friendship groups. I need not have worried as everyone was very welcoming, and they love every minute of it. Happy to help further if I can ????, as I appreciate its a big decision

  3. Thanks for the info, our dd would be starting in yr9(still deciding whether to accept bursary and live like paupers!) so that will be a challenge in itself as friendship groups will already be formed and dd is a quiet child until she knows people well. Has anyone else's dc started in yr9?

  4. The black shorts are pretty much only needed for production aren't they Pictures?

Angel, we don't have black shorts as they weren't on the list last year, do they need for production this year do you know? :)

  7. Maybe one of us should go volunteer to help her!

I thought that too Pictures!  I love a big admin task like that (weird I know) :)

Good luck everyone, it's a fabulous school!

  8. I believe that if it's at an approved venue ie the school's own studio, then the teacher sets the times, but if it is at a RAV (approved venue set up by RAD) then it is set by the RAD themselves, taking into account travelling time etc of the participants ????

  9. We got a no from The Hammond. The letter came through this morning so very quick. DD is home is home today as have to leave early for Elmhurst's audition tomorrow. She's taken it surprisingly well. I feel it's a front though.

How do I keep her from giving up after one no when she has another audition tomorrow?

I feel for you, but Peanut is right about a no at one school not necessarily being a no for all of them. I am aware of DC who have had a no from Hammond, but went on to secure funded places elsewhere. Focus on her achievements to date, and tell her how proud you are of her; I don't believe they can ever hear this too much ;)

Best of luck for tomorrow :)
