Hi Cablegirl. My daughter had a straight up no didn't even get offered finals at RBS but had a yes for Summer program and is currently at Elmhurst. It does and can happen. Don't give up hope and fingers crossed for you x

    Thank you! x

  2. I have never received RBS email earlier than 3pm so I won't start getting nervous until then! After that, every ding will make me jump. We received a WL Finals Y7 no yesterday so have such mixed feelings over this. Two rejections in two days would be awful but a place at SS would surely make getting over not being offered a place at WL even worse?! Has anyone had experience of the latter?

  3. Sorry not nearly WL but I think flexibility is a workable thing (unlike turn out or other things that can't be worked on if not there at all) .. so shouldn't be a problem especially if a child works on it and is doing great... I've been asking same question about excessive flexibility and it is not welcome and not workable... so we all are worried just about different things I would guess..it is not over until it is over ... most of us will get a no but for now they all still have equal chance ...

Thank you Hopeful! Reassuring to know that I'm not the only one obsessing over the details which we can do absolutely nothing about! I think it's just a way of trying to second guess the result so we are totally prepared for it. Fingers crossed that tomorrow is the day...although I have a feeling it will be more like Friday.

  4. The longer it goes on the more I have convinced myself it's a definite no. Totally talked myself out of the idea that she'll be offered a place! So would be genuinely in shock if she does (but she won't!). Too many girls there for anyone who has any kind of weakness to stand a chance and I believe my daughter probably isn't flexible enough. I remember seeing a couple of JAs a few years ago who subsequently went on to being offered a place at WL showing amazing flexibility. My daughter is flexible but they were like rubber. Would anyone with WL experience second that extreme flexibility is right at top of priorities for the panel?

  5. Thank you C4D. The wait is awful! I think Tuesday has often been the day of results in the past, however they weren't auditioning on a Saturday in previous years. So half expecting another day's wait. ????

  6. I second that. The staff were lovely and the girls all seemed to have a wonderful time. The notes on the beds wishing all the applicants luck and telling the girls to believe in themselves were so touching. Only bad thing about experience from our point of view is that DD wants it so so much now that if she gets a no, then she'll be devastated. Before this weekend, she would have handled it reasonably well. The process makes them want it more which is wonderful for those get a yes but devastating for the rest!

  7. Has anybody heard approximately how many girls are auditioning for y7 places tomorrow/Saturday? There's a mum at Bath JAs who seems to know all this type of info through her JA teacher! Makes no difference of course but would be good to prepare DD if there are going to be 60 girls there.

  8. LoobyLou, I can only speak from the examples of the girls in my daughter's JA class and they seem to be either grade 3 or 4. I don't know of any who started ballet that recently though, they have all been doing it for a number of years. That's not to say that that is a prerequisite for doing well at the auditions though!
