    I think I didn't explain myself properly

    When I say gymnastics it's like a strengthening and conditioning class for dancers a lot of dance schools are offering this type of classes they are call gymnastic classes these classes focus on

    Strengthening the dancer it's very much like the Russian way of training it help the dancer in long run and injury

    Really sorry about your dd

    It's a hard hard life the children work so hard

    If your dd wants to get into these schools

    She will need to put in the work like never before every day not just ballet gymnastics to if I was you I would try and do three class of ballet and three class of gymnastics a week she will be competing with children in vocational school doing ballet, dance 5 hours a day very competive

    And if you don't put in this intensive training you have no change I know a lot of the children that got into vocational school and believe me they worked for it every single day

    Go for it I say

    I'm looking at Paris opera,I know that most schools aboard caters for their country's education and they can continue there studies it's an online programme and they will need to do more work as they will also need to study the local language according to were you pick

    I.e my daughter will have to learn French

    But she can still do all her Gcse

    Hope this helps

    I think it's a good idea to look abroad good luck with everything

    The venue is booked for my Summer Workshop! The Workshop will take place on 8th, 9th and 10th of August and is open to keen ballet dancers aged 10 - 15 at St James School in Exeter.

     

    Guest teachers to include Royal Ballet graduate and Franklin Method coach Rachael Hall plus ex English National Ballet Soloist and Choreographer Jenna Lee!
