New classes starting in March at the Precision School of Ballet, within the Lost Theatre, 208 Wandsworth Road SW8 2JU.

Sundays from 1st March:

* 6-7pm RAD Intermediate Foundation Pay as you go class for £10 per class

you do not need any previous experience for this class and the age range is for all ages. Everything will be taught from scratch in the classes and has the structure from: the barre, centre practice and pirouettes, allegro and stretching - time permitting. we will build up to the pointe work when foot strength has reached the correct safe standard.

* 7 - 8.30 RAD Advanced Foundation pay as you go £12 per class

You will need to have passed the previous grade (i.e Intermediate) if you wish to partake in the exam. Exams are not compulsory. This class includes, barre work, ports de bras, centre practice, pirouettes, allegro and pointe work. This is the new syllabus 2014

Hi there I have studio space available from 1.30 - 2.30 and 4-5 on a sunday at the Lost Theatre, 208 wandsworth road, sw8 2ju. I am offering to teach any of the RAD syllabi (old or new), Mock exam, beginners or dancers wanting to improve. I am offering £40 per hour which is very cheap inclusive of studio hire. I would normally give homework or send you your corrections via email too.

Hi there,

i have had a couple of spaces come available in the Tuesday evening adult ballet classes at Roehampton Sports and Fitness centre, off Danebury Avenue. Class starts at 7 - 8.30pm on Tuesday evenings.

The trial price for a new student for the term is £10 for the first lesson (you are not tied into anything) then the rest of the term payment (£140) or 2 instalments of £70 would be needed to secure your place in the class thereafter. Numbers do not go over 10 per class.

Hi everyone,

thanks for reading the post and the messages from previous posts. the RAD intermediate Ballet Classes have gone a bit viral so have decided to put another class on a Sunday at the Lost Theatre, 208 Wandsworth Road, SW8 2JU.

To make things easier for people who cant commit to every week and begrudge paying for a term, i am offering a pay as you go service of £8 for the hour. As usual I wont go over 10 students per class. i have spaces left should anyone want to join!!

i also have about 4 space left in the RAD Advanced 1 class on Sundays 7 - 8.30. I have just had 3 ladies enter and got 76% and 81% Distinctions. Classes are around £12 per class payable termly or half termly, but you do get a lot of correction in the class.  See the website for more details.

Precision School of Ballet are extremely excited to announce Royal Ballet soloist Eric Underwood and Javier Leonard (Cuban Salsa Dance) will be joining school principal Michelle Nicholls in teaching an incredible Summer School this year.

We at Precision School of Ballet only deal with progressing small numbers of students, providing each student to have that focus and attention to develop young talent. That being said there will only be 10 spaces for this Summer School, We are looking for ages 13+. All applicants MUST have passed Intermediate or equivalent.  

Dates and times: August 11th - August 15th, 10am - 6pm

Location: Studio 1, Lost Theatre, 208 Wandsworth Road, SW8 2JU

Price: £300

The students can expect:

The first 2 1/2 days will be spent with Michelle perfecting; basic technique, strength, flexibility, multiple turns, grand allegro, artistry and performance. Javier will take over after lunch on Wednesday to teach salsa; turns, partnering and complex sequences. Toward the end of the week Eric will be teaching a 2 day Masterclass 14th-15th August when parents / friends are invited to watch the last class of the day.

From 4th - 8th August from 2 - 6pm Precision School of Ballet will be holding a Ballet and Gymnastics summer school for only £100. This course will be held at the Lost Theatre, 208 Wandsworth Road, SW8 2JU. We have some a teacher from the British gymnastics squad coming in to teach basic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics (with a ribbon) and stretching techniques. The other disciplines offered will be:

Pilates / yoga

Gymnastics

solo repertoire

corps de ballet repertoire.

Please note: we only work with class sizes of 10 students so the rate of progression will be faster and we give time to each student so we move as a whole class.

This course is intense hence the 4 hour block. Students are expected to bring a packed lunch and provide their own leotards and shoes.

on the last day, parents are invited to view the classes to see what we have been working on.

Hi there, 

Thank you so much for the messages into the NEW RAD Advanced 1 classes, the day of the class has now changed to a Sunday 7 - 8.30 as requested by some people. Classes are £12 and for the next 6 weeks we are still offering the pay as you go option.

Before the above class, we are now offering the Ballet Based Pilates programme on a Sunday 6 - 7pm.  The programme consists of a series of strengthening exercises to ensure the body into using the correct muscles to produce the shapes and lines. All exercises are performed to classical music and follows a strict routine of which position to be in and how long you are holding it for. The class starts on the floor, working up to standing and finally strength and flexibilty exercises are done at the barre finalize the class.

All the equipment is provided; wobble boards, therabands and mats

the RAD intermediate can be a drop in class for those adults who work, have a busy schedule and cannot justify termly payment. just send an email. we do break up on the 20th July but we start back on the 2nd September for RAD intermediate. 

throughout summer (from august 5th - 26th August)  we will be combining the weeks adult classes into 1 class at ballet improvers level- in the Monday slot which will be a drop in session. so if your around we would love to see you.

thank you for your comments, yes we are based at the Lost Theatre, 208 wandsworth Road, SW8 2JU. in between the two tube stations vauxhall and stockwell stations. 

we have some incredible guest teachers coming in to teach. although i do only have a couple of spaces left now in both summer schools

the adult classes are very popular we have been at the Theatre for 2 years now and the classes are always quite popular even if you dont want to take the exams...i.e RAD Intermediate class, when you have time come and try a class!!

Precision School of Ballet has only 5 spaces for the junior summer school and 5 places for the senior summer school:

the Junior summer school is for ages between 5 - 10 years of age. We have west end jazz dancer coming in to teach some basic jazz sequences. there are character dances and daily ballet classes with stretching and strengthening to provide a holistic dance training to amateur and professional students. For parents we have an aveda hairdresser coming in to teach parents how to style hair in 3 classical styles. The hours of study are 12 - 3pm monday to friday 5th August - 9th August.

the Senior Summer School includes: Pas de deux with a male guest teacher from Birmingham Royal Ballet, Jazz class with a west end Jazz dancer, daily ballet classes, Pilates, hair maintenence with an aveda hairdresser for you to style them on yourself. other classes include contemporary and choreography. there is a performance day on the friday 9th August for friends and family to come and watch. hours include 3 - 6pm monday 5th august - 9th August. ages 11 - adult.

the cost of both of these courses is just £60 for the week!! places limited to 10 places per course in order to give valuable teaching and correction.
