Please would someone be so kind as to report on the number of snowflakes? Fingers crossed for a flurry rather than a sprinkle.

Someone was taking photos during the Barber dress rehearsal - I reported them to the usher who told the guilty section no photography allowed . I am pleased report they stopped.

My last, and only, performance in the Swan Lake run was Bonelli/Takada on March 10th. I remember standing in the stalls circle and thinking I didn't feel particularly comfortable doing so, and that this was probably going to be my last performance there Until Things Got Better. (I was still thinking on the basis of a couple of weeks and expecting the cinema relay possibly to go ahead on April 1st at that point - ha!) So convinced was I that the government would have us all locked down by the weekend that I went to see Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes in Wimbledon for the Thursday matinee - having carefully checked the ticket sales in the balcony first - because I didn't think it would still be going on by Saturday.
I think this run of Swan Lake will be an emotional one for a lot of people, one way or another.
It will be very emotional for me as I was there on 12 March 2020 so looking forward to the 1st night - tissues at the ready

Thanks to the technical issue, KOH & a longer curtain call for Montes, we didn't get out until nearly quarter to eleven. I've just walked from the ROH to Kings Cross in 20 mins. In an FFP2 facemask. Any spare oxygen would be appreciated!
This was my latest night at the ROH since March 2020 - I am exhausted today but worth it to see such a marvellous performance

Announcement from Royal Opera on Facebook at 8.30

Sadly they evacuated the building 5 minutes into Act II. We had to wait about 40 minutes opposite the House in Bow Street before allowed back in. They commenced Act II again and that was it finishing at 3.30 as originally scheduled. Not sure if it was a fire drill exercise or there was an incident but no fire engines turned up!

It shouldn’t be assumed that everyone has a mobile phone to take a photo of cast changes !
