Is anyone having trouble contacting Freed? I ordered and received pointe shoes in January but they are not suitable and I need to replace. I have emailed numerous times, but have had no reply even though the website says there are staff still working. I am at a loss!!

I'm sure it's not just me but I did find it very frustrating that although the 9&10 ballet solo category was very big, itwas not seperated out into the 2 age groups.  My DD wasn't in that category but the little ones didn't have a ghost of a chance against the older girls who were beautiful and much more advanced technically.  One 9 yr old was pipped at the post and it was such a shame. I guess that's the way it goes.

freed also do small sizes from 13 up. I also got from RAD online last summer.

Very sad loss for the dancing world.  An amazing life.  I was watching him on the Ballet Russe dvd at the weekend and thought he was wonderful.  I worry that so many young dancers are unaware of their ballet 'roots'. 

They did come up small last year which was a blessing for my dd as she is still 0 size on her normal leotards at 9yrs
