  1. It's lovely to hear all your different stories I was an emotional wreck before I wrote this link but even more so now, the bottom line is these children have worked so hard to get into vocational schools and colleges and as hard as it is for us we should all be very proud of what these very talented dd/ds have achieved xxx

  2. My dd goes away this time next week and I am going to be absolutely lost without her. Since she was two I have taken her to dance classes then it developed into festivals then Royal Ballet, now it's going to be nothing !!! Just wondered how other parents were feeling and what are you going to do with your spare time. My spare time is now going to be spent with my son stood on the touch line freezing every Sunday morning !

  3. I was recently shocked when my 11 year old dd brought a letter home from the school nurse saying she was underweight and we should be concerned ! Not only was I shocked but cross at the fact that she dances nearly everyday of the week and was low birth weight so has always been very slight. My daughter then kept looking in the mirror asking if she was too thin!

I think every child is different and they should take that into consideration, if she didn't exercise and sat watching tv all day stuffing sweets down her throat I would have probably got a letter saying saying she was obese and I should be concerned !!!

  4. My dd auditioned at WL and Elmhurst she is on the reserve list for White lodge and Elmhurst said no !!! So surely they can't be looking for the same thing I asked my dd if she made any mistakes at her Elmhurst audition, she actually thought her Elmhurst audition went better than her WL audition, who knows what the schools are looking for xxx

  5. Aw how terrible c4d, I never realised how stressful and upsetting the whole audition process is, I'm so pleased my other child is a boy and not at all interested in dancing because I wouldn't want to put myself or my child through the process again! Give her a virtual hug from us too xxx

  11. Oh my days, this is the longest we've had to wait for a reply. Fingers crossed that they arrive tomorrow x

  12. Sorry Frangapani I accidentally liked your quote. I really feel for your dd it is tough to get a no whatever age you are, but more so when you have danced with the same girls for a long time and made good friendships. I wish your dd all the best for the future x
