This is a brand new book about to come out on the 30th of June. It is about Julie Felix who was the first British black ballerina. It sounds amazing, especially considering how well Julie went on to succeed.

Julie privately taught my daughter and she was an amazing teacher. Sometimes she would tell us about her career and how tough it was. After dance she definitely gave back everything she had been taught to her dancers. She is one of the kindest most talented people I know.

I used to take class from her in Birmingham. A very demanding but precise & helpful teacher. I remember her pointing out to the very young & slender teenage dancers in the class that we older women could turn more easily because we had hips! Very heartening, as sometimes it was tough walking into that class in tights & a leotard, and seeing all the young ones.

Everyone knows that they are getting a good class when Julie is there. Julie is teaching at DanceX in Birmingham along with other fab teachers during the summer holidays.
