Volunteers with no dance experience needed for performance at Tate Modern

Recommended Posts

We are looking for 20 volunteers of all genders and all ages (from 16 to 80+) with no previous dance experience to take part in Roman Photo by French Choreographer Boris Charmatz. This performance will be part of ‘If Tate Modern was Musée de la Danse’ on 15 and 16 May.

Roman Photo is a choreographic piece based on David Vaughan’s Merce Cunningham, Fifty Years (1997), which charts in pictures Merce Cunningham’s choreography over 50 years. Charmatz invites participants to learn and perform Vaughan’s images as a speeded-up version of Cunningham’s language through a series of rehearsals, culminating in two full-length performances of 30 minutes.

For more information, rehearsals and performances dates and how to apply, please visit http://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-modern/performance-and-music/roman-photo

Deadline for application: Wednesday 15 April, 17:00

If you are interested in participating in this event and are available for all rehearsals and performance dates, please get in touch.

Please DO NOT APPLY if you are a professional dancer or a dance student.

I look forward to hearing from you.
