Lisa O`Brien Posted December 25, 2014 Share Posted December 25, 2014 I`ve run out of "likes" for the day,but can I echo that this really is a wonderful Forum,which has become a natural part of my daily life that I would be just lost without. A woman in London bought a pair of decorated pointe shoes off me on Ebay the other day. They are a birthday present,in a few days time for her nine year old daughter who is in Grade 1 RAD .She knows she is getting them and understands they are absolutely not for wearing and are just for decorating her room. Anyway,I told her all about this wonderful Forum with the equally wonderful,supportive people on it. She had never heard of it but is very new to ballet anyway. She got back to me on Ebay yesterday,telling me she has applied to join this Forum and is just waiting for a confirmation email. Spread the word,folks. As others have said before non dancing parents (and most of my friends are) just don't get our 'worries'-which is quite fair enough. ........ My daughter found a flat last year thanks to one of the mums on the forum and another mum passed us onto someone who does fantastic professional DVDs.
