alison
Well, it's about time that was admitted. I had visions of her being on her knees by the end of the (extended) run. It's just a shame that her name featured so highly in the publicity.

It's just a shame that her name featured so highly in the publicity. That is the way the company always manages its publicity. Even when Kolesnikova herself was not dancing last year the shows were advertised as "Irina Kolesnikova invites......" All but four out of eleven. Plus, presumably the two La Bayaderes? It's an undertaking of Fonteyn proportions
MAB
Kolesnikova performs all evening performances of both ballets
Beryl H
The Coliseum website has actually got Natalia Matsak and Kimin Kim down for the 4 matinees now, I found some photos of her and she does look lovely, plus Kimin Kim, think I'll have to book for the 20th or 22nd as I've already got the evening tickets. aileen
Do we know for definite when Vadim is dancing? I ask because he seems to have been in Tokyo until very recently.
capybara
Do we know for definite when Vadim is dancing? I ask because he seems to have been in Tokyo until very recently. As mentioned at post # 71 (above) he is dancing on the 20th and 21st August. As far as can be judged from the limited online coverage of the event, he still has a couple of shows to go at the World Ballet Festival. John Mallinson
His last show in Tokyo is the gala on Sunday (16th). Just about time to recover from jet lag.
Balletfanp
I thought today was the final performance of the gala? I could be wrong though...

alison
I notice that there are tickets for both StPBT Bayadère performances available at tkts in Leicester Square - not unreasonably priced, either.
