Thrilling new season at Leeds’ Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre
 
The Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre, Leeds, launches a new season of dance, theatre and family shows for autumn 2014.
 
Opening the season, Phoenix Dance Theatre presents Tenacity – Phoenix at Home, a bespoke mixed programme commemorating 50 years of the Civil Rights Act.
 
Ballet Black (Best Independent Company in the 2012 Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards) return with a new Mixed Programme of dance gems including Olivier Award nominated A Dream Within  A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Arthur Pita.
 
Original Performance-Parkour Company The Urban Playground Team, as seen on Sky1’s Got To Dance, visit the theatre for the first time with Run This Town. Joss Arnott Dance return with Surge, a triple bill of rock and roll dance performed by a powerful female ensemble.
 
After the fantastic sell-out success of Ugly Duckling and Three Little Pigs, adapted for TV by CBeebies, Northern Ballet’s much-anticipated new ballet for children, Elves & the Shoemaker, comes to the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre in October. With tickets selling fast for Elves & the Shoemaker and some performances almost sold-out, early booking is recommended.
 
The Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre has been voted as the best family friendly theatre in the Yorkshire region in the Netmums Theatre Awards and been named Best Family Venue at the 2013 Family Arts Festival Awards.

The Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre is an intimate studio theatre situated inside the stunning home of Northern Ballet and Phoenix Dance Theatre on Quarry Hill, Leeds.
