John Mallinson
Interesting. We saw something of Inala, the Mark Baldwin/Ladysmith Black Mambazo piece, at the ROH Clore Studio two years ago. The project was managed then as now by the RB's Pietra Mello-Pittman. The other RB connection is that Camille Bracher is one of the dancers. There's more about Inala here. amum/Cathy
I would really like to take ds to see Inala but as they are evening performances it would need a night in Edinburgh. We usually try to do day trips to festival events due to the cost of accommodation. Does anyone know if it will tour afterwards? And where? Lynette H
I think I have seen Dane Hurst in an excerpt from this, but I can't place where. I don't think it was in the Clore. I think it might have been at Sadler's but I can't quite place the context. It was just a solo for him, no one else.
SheilaC
I spoke to Mark Baldwin last night at Newcastle and he said that the show will also be at Sadler's Wells in September. I got the impression it might also tour to at least one other venue. He said that Dane Hurst and Mbulelo Ndabeni would both perform.

alison
Ah, yes, that's what it was. I didn't think the association with Cojocaru was quite right, somehow. Thanks, Jane.

This can also be seen at the Warwick Arts Centre, Warwick University (near Coventry) on 30th September at 8.00pm
