AUDITION - ELITE DANCE & THEATRE TRAINING IN DANCE & THEATRE IN DANCEWORKS, WEST END, LONDON (AGES 6 - 18)

London, 20th March 2014 - talented young dancers and performers from around the UK are invited to audition for a place at the prestigious Stinson Stage Academy (SSA) in the West End for a chance to enhance their local training and work with professional dancers and choreographers.

 

Based at Danceworks, off Oxford Street, the once a week elite training on Sundays will offer two courses: Classical Dance Course aimed at 11 to 18 year olds and Musical Theatre Course aimed at 6 - 18 year olds. The Classical Dance Course will include Ballet; Pas de Deux; Jazz Dance; Contemporary and Choreography and the Musical Theatre Course offers; Ballet, Jazz Dance; Tap; Singing and Acting.

Speaking about the courses David Stinson, SSA Founder and CEO said: "These courses are the first of their kind to offer talented performers the chance to build on their local training and have access to top industry professionals. They'll be working in a professional environment and workshop ideas plus learn choreography from various companies and shows. It is an intensive course but students will be exposed to a holistic training so they get a real insight into the industry".

 

The auditions are being held at Danceworks, Balderton Street, Central London, Sunday 23rd March from 12 noon - 3pm. Attendees will join in a Ballet Class and Contemporary Class with Lucy Belfour, from Rambert Dance Company. This open audition is aimed at those 11 - 18 year olds that wish to gain a place on our Classical Dance Course. Anyone that wishes to audition may turn up on the day and pay the £10 audition fee on the door. Further closed audition dates are on 30 March (Musical Theatre), 6 April (Classical Dance) and 13 April (Musical Theatre) that will be led by Chantry Dance Companies Rae Piper. Get yourself to our open auditions for the Classical Dance Course TODAY (Sunday 23rd March). The audition is aimed at 11 - 18 year olds and will consist of a ballet and contemporary dance workshop led by the incredible Lucy Belhalf from Rambert Dance Company.

 

Just turn up at Danceworks today at 11.30am to register with your £10 audition fee. Bring your ballet attire. Boys and Girls welcome. Must have ballet experience. 12pm - 3pm.
