toursenlair
Here in Canada today at the screening of the Bolshoi Jewels a message flashed on the screen to the effect that the Winter's Tale live broadcast will not be happening. Is this true in the UK as well, or is it perhaps just in Canada?
alison
I've not heard anything about it over here: perhaps there are simply doubts on the amount of demand for it abroad/in Canada?
bangorballetboy
It's still listed on the ROH website, but there are no cinemas in Canada showing it.
Bruce Wall
As Winter's Tale is a co-production with the NBoC (as was Alice) perhaps NBoC again have the North American rights and are hoping to broadcast the NBoC production as a native premiere. Just an idea. (Or perhaps they simply want to ensure every possible live attendance in the production's initial outing in Canada.) toursenlair
NBOC can't afford to do live broadcasts. IF they have asked for a blackout, that's seriously unfair to anyone who doesn't live anywhere near Toronto.
