water bottles for dancers

We have tried cheap ones, expensive ones, designer ones, camping ones etc, and haven't found one that doesn't leak or leave an after taste. DD just re-using old water bottles, but I don't think this is particularly healthy. But at least everything else in her dance bag stays dry.any recommendations?

I've found the sistema twist 'n' sip ones great, think we've only had one leak and that was due to dd not closing it fully. We use them for school and dancing.

I can't recommend the Contigo brand too highly. I have one of their flasks for my morning commute, and it's fantastic - indestructible and completely leak-proof. You can also get them from Amazon.

We had a Sistema twist n sip and it leaked straight away. That went back for a refund!

 

The Nike ones are good; they have a vacuum rather than a lid. However, dd won't use it due to the gurgling sound made by the bottle after use (sucking air back in or something) - it's "SO embarrassing" apparently!

My pink one of those has been going for 18 months and I have been putting it in the dishwasher even though it says you shouldn't. It is still fine!

We have been using sistema twist and sip for both boys at school and dance for more than 3 years now ! - also put them in the dish washer - only leak if they are cross threaded or not done up properly

I believe you shouldn't re-use old mineral-water bottles too much - some benz-something-or-other-chemical which tends to get into the water

One green bottle ones are great.  Google "one green bottle".  They are stainless steel so no issues with plastic chemicals.  They last forever and you can buy new lids!

Reading the reviews of Sistema bottles on Amazon, it seems that many people love them and have no problem with them, but some people's bottles leak from day 1! There seems to be an element of hit and miss with them. I definitely did our one up properly so perhaps they produce a duff batch every so often. :-(

Will give the sistema ones a go. But very impressed by the contigo video demonstrating how to drink from it.! Not sure how to get hold of one though.

Just had a look and you can buy contigo water bottles on amazon. This one even has a secret compartment!

We've got about 6 sistema bottles and none of them leak so I think you'd be pretty unlucky to end up with one that did.

We always use sistema but DD has new bottle from Aladdin which is very good and a bit more grown up and it doesn't leak - ever!

yes it is clear with small hearts on it.  It is so leak proof I have bought myself one for work.

Not done a link before so I'm not sure why it isn't coming up as blue?  Anyway this is my bottle and the best thing for me is that I can put ice in it whereas the sistema ones it is very difficult.  Both however never leak!

PDC, I still find the link thing confusing. When you put the link in you need to do a "return" to ensure it comes up blue and "neatened" BUT it doesn't come up blue until after you have posted! Your link has worked fine!

it is unscrew and both bits come off very easily so cleaning isn't a problem and you can put ice in it.
