insurance for dancers auditioning and/or working abroad

Can any of the parents of dcs who have been through the audition process and maybe worked abroad recommend any particular insurance policies? They will need travel insurance I know but not sure about some other insurance while they are working abroad?

Are you thinking travel insurance, health insurance, or house insurance?

and where abroad are you thinking e.g. if you are still in an EE country you shouldn't need health insurance as  you are able to access their health care (but it would probably help to have an up to date EHIC)...

DS has health insurance to be at school in the USA- it's mandatory....

DS had travel insurance when auditioning as he was only out of the country for a couple of days. Now working abroad travel insurance doesn't cover him and he has insurance provided by the company.

Thanks KathyG.Have purchased travel insurance to cover auditions and will re-think if a job abroad becomes a reality.

It was quite hard to find travel insurance for auditions - I think we went for the Pay Office in the end but can't really remember! He now has health insurance with the company he works for - even though he's could still have dependent cover with BUPA if he were in this country, he can't have it as he lives abroad.
