BalletBloch
Does anybody have the music to Odette's Solo in Act 1? But preferably a faster version.. Hopefully this version? I have tried converting this file but the music goes very quiet..
Anna C
On itunes (or Amazon for non-apple mp3) you should be able to download and buy a version which is faster. I have several Tchaikovsky recordings conducted by Valery Gergiev which sound as if he's racing home for dinner! :-)

Anna C
No, but this is the version I have: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tchaikovsky-Op-20-Orchestra-Mariinsky-Theatre/dp/B001M2GSXS/ref=dm_cd_album_lnk%22%5Dhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Tchaikovsky-Op-20-Orchestra-Mariinsky-Theatre/dp/B001M2GSXS/ref=dm_cd_album_lnk On the Amazon link above, it's track 21. For some reason, on my itunes purchase, it's track 20. :-)

I seem to remember he manages to fit the whole of The Nutcracker on one CD, which nobody else seems to be able to manage.
Tulip
I feel awful saying this but I didn't like Maya's dancing at all for lots of reasons. Perhaps this is because I'm not that experienced with ballet, but I didn't didn't like what I saw. Sorry to go off topic.
Sheila Beelam
I know what you mean tulip, I think it may be her upper body I don't like, her hands seem quite angular and her jumps laboured, but that could be due to the slow music...but hey if I could be half that good i'd be over the moon! Ballet bloch I got the music on iTunes a couple of weeks ago as we had no cd and needed Act 2 big swans immediately and I downloaded it for 79p! Saved lots of humming from our teacher Sx
