toursenlair Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I have just posted this on my blog. http://toursenlair.blogspot.ca/p/whats-on-in-ballet.html It lists the performances of almost all the major companies (and some not so major), arranged chronologically. 4

MrZee Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 We echo all the bravos and kudos for your amazing effort!! Quick question: Does pressing the "Print" icon on your schedules result in an Excel spreadsheet document with the wonderful information you've compiled?
toursenlair Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 We echo all the bravos and kudos for your amazing effort!! Quick question: Does pressing the "Print" icon on your schedules result in an Excel spreadsheet document with the wonderful information you've compiled? Thank you MrZee. In response to your question, do you mean the printer icon down at the bottom of the page where the "share on facebook, etc." buttons are? All that happens with that is that it prints out a screen grab of the page you have up. It doesn't print the whole spreadsheet (which is enormous, so I wouldn't recommend doing it). You can highlight a section of the spreadsheet using Shift-arrow keys, then ctrl-P (click "selection"), but some of the last column including the rep will be cut off.
alison Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 sometimes it feels more like just a labour.... And a Herculean one at that! Thank you, Katherine.
Ian Macmillan Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Is anyone else using Google Chrome seeing nothing but two large blank spaces? I can see the listings by moving to Safari, but I've tried at several times today on Chrome with no result. And, yes, it looks like an impressive piece of work!
toursenlair Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 Sorry, Ian. I use firefox. I would have thought it should work in Google Chrome, since I used Google Drive to upload it and blogspot is a Google product.
Bruce Wall Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 (edited) Google Chrome I find has many imperfections, Katherine. I couldn't see your mamouth excellence there either. Firefox and IE showed it no probs whatsoever. Edited August 21, 2013 by Meunier
toursenlair Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 sorry to all you Chrome users, then! you'll have to use a different browser, Firefox, Explorer, Safari seem to be the most popular after Chrome, and according to reports above, do work for this page.
GTL Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 It's working well for me in Chrome (old version 28.0.1500.95 m and update 29.0.1547.57 m) and Opera (version 12.16), thanks.
Aruna S Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I use Chrome and had no problems visualising the chart. 1
Ian Macmillan Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I see that I have the same version of Chrome as GTL, but still no go this morning. Ah well. When the Forum started and we kept a simplified daily Links listing going in the transition from ballet.co, I remember toying with the idea that we might create a calendar of planned openings so that we might know what to be looking for as the days passed, and that was only for those countries from which one would expect English-language reviews. I quickly decided that this would mean rather more work than I was ready for, and Katherine's listings roam far beyond those boundaries!! 1
toursenlair Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Not to go on about how much work this is, I have to say I find it inordinately frustrating how many ballet companies have websites that are hard to navigate to find this information. It is amazing how many clicks you have to go through to get all the information: day, date, time, theatre, rep, choreographer/version, without even getting into the casting. Then there are the ones, like Scottish Ballet, who give you only a vague "May 22-26" until the tickets actually are available on sale. Grumble over.
simonbfisher Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Blimey, this is a brilliant resource, Katherine! Many thanks for sharing! 1
