Hi,

I realise that all schools will be different but, on average, how many hours of dance a day would year 7 students do at a vocational school?

Thanks!

There's this one - but not much info on it about the younger students:

It's a while since my son was in year 7, but as a really rough starting point WL and Elmhurst do approximately one two hour ballet class a day, plus another type of dance (or other performance type) class (but I think isn't necessarily another two hour class) - that might be something like jazz, tap, history of ballet (so not actually dancing!), pointe/virtuosity (can't remember for year 7).

I'm sure some parents of younger students will come forward and let you know - but hope that I've helped a little  :)

I would say dd averaged 4 hours a day mixed with academics last year. There was one day where it was less - probably 2 hours.

I've now got dds year 7 timetable

1.5 hours of ballet each morning plus an extra hour of ballet 3 days per week

Plus an hour of other dance (tap, modern, street) every day then 3 hours on Saturday morning including stretch
