Award-winning female choreographer, Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Jasmin Vardimon returns to the Sadler’s Wells West End venue the Peacock Theatre from the 17 - 22 September 2013, with her powerful, politically-charged, theatrical work Justitia.

A cutting edge piece of physical dance theatre, Justitia delves into the depths of the justice system, unraveling the multiple truths concealed behind a crime story. In a filmic replay of events, staged on a revolving set, the audience witnesses the action from different perspectives. Punctuated with provocative and insightful humour, Justitia treats us to Vardimon’s unique brand of highly acute physical theatre.

For Justitia Jasmin Vardimon will return to the stage as a performer for the first time in four years. She is joined by her ensemble dancers Paul Blackman, Luke Burrough, Mafalda Deville, Esteban Fourmi, Christine Gouzelis, David Lloyd and Aoi Nakamura.

Jasmin Vardimon has just been awarded the International Theatre Institute’s Award for Excellence in International Dance for 2013. Celebrated as one of Britain’s leading female choreographers, her company’s recent successes include sell-out performances of 7734, Yesterday and Freedom at Sadler’s Wells and at international venues across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Born and raised in Central Israel, Vardimon trained at the Kibbutz Dance Company then moved to London in 1997 where she founded the Jasmin Vardimon Company. She is currently the First Guest Artistic Director of the newly formed National Youth Dance Company.
