taxi4ballet
There was a thread a while ago, but that was about foreign travel - I was wondering if anybody has any ideas about holiday insurance covering UK summer schools. I've had a look at the regular travel insurance sites, but the all seem to cover children only if they are travelling as a family with adults also on the policy. Any ideas please? Actsingdance
It would never occur to be to get insurance for a UK summer school to be honest. What would you want it to cover.
afab
Refund in case of an illness and not being able to go or getting hurt and having to leave early, etc.

Getting our money back if she is unable to attend. Summer schools cost a lot of money, which we could ill afford to lose...
Actsingdance
I guess I just treat it the same as going on holiday in the UK. If we lost the money we couldn't afford to go Another time but not worth taking insurance out for.
Actsingdance
Oh - interesting. We have holiday insurance automatically on our bank account.
Jan McNulty
Perhaps looking at student travel insurance may throw something up. I would have thought most travel companies would quote for UK travel. I was just looking at one of the comparison sites and they mentioned "extreme sport" cover - a summer school could well come into that remit. taxi4ballet
Found some after a bit of Googling, and even choosing the zero excess option it came to £4.27. Without the excess option etc, it would have been less than £2!! Bargain.

taxi4ballet
The one I found is called essentialtravel, I just did a search for "travel insurance uk child" and this was near the top of the list. There were some others that came up too.
