Guest Autumn days
"All auditionees (for 6th form) are chosen to audition via photo and for those who fill the physicall criteria there are still a lot of extremely talented dancers all fighting for a place." This is a quote from another thread and I wanted to start a new conversation about this? I was just wondering if this is correct? I have always believed that all applicants for 6th form places were offered an audition in at least most of the schools.
Tulip
I agree I don't know of anyone who has been refused an audition from any school. I do however believe that the interview panell refer back to the photos when making decisions.
Klaris
The only one I'm aware of is Rambert - who sift at the application stage. But I'm sure that candidates aren't rejected on photos, and that the experience, training and personal statement will give them enough idea as to who is most suitable to audition for their style of training.
